Nibblers features the cutest little mice hiding amidst the strawberries. Honestly, the cutest things!

Great colors in each - just DMC - they measure 61 in stitch count. Offered in separate chart packs, Barbie gives you her source for the wooden boards shown in her finishing. They come in unfinished wood - you get to paint and distress to your liking.

  • Merry Stitches - This is CUTE! Measuring just 45 in stitch count, it is done on Country Vintage Mocha colored fabric - which we carry in several different counts. Sturdy and Pretty Finishing Display Boards by Chantelle's 141 Design Company
These are the wonderful boards that Hands On Design uses in a lot of her finishing treatments. (Go to her page, you'll see tons of examples of boards in use.) Made from MDF, medium density fiber board, which is a composite wood product. These feature a thin veneer layer on each side. They are 3/8 of an inch thick, and love no extra finish or paint - just not a stain treatment.

Varied sized and styles... everyone is using those super-strong magnets to attach finished needlework - one magnet on the back of your work, the other on the back of the board. That way, you can switch designs in a jiff, and re-use your boards across the seasons!

Three new releases by Samplers and Primitives - we love her gentle color shadings. We have gorgeous acorn designs from last Fall, and here are a few Spring pieces.
    • The Quaker Bee II - Pretty golds and greens... pretty touch of Quaker on the edge, everything about it is pleasing to the eye, and it measures 95 - so could finish 4 x 4 if you did it over one on 25 Lugana!
    • Home - Peaceful house, spring-green lawn, I like that huge floral urn peeking behind the house! Measures 136 x 145 - stitched with a medley of hand-dyeds.
    • A Collaboration of Spring - Looks like the same little house - but different landscape! The topper border is really cool because it's different from the other three sides... it's just a little bigger than the HOME piece at 208 x 120.

Paola hand-makes all her own clay buttons and pins. Such pretty shading is created by layers and layers of slightly different colored polymer clay that she stacks together and shapes to create her clay 'canes.' Each little 'thing' is a cross-slice of that cane... delightful to watch the process.

Anyway, her things are charming, and while they do not have specific designs to go with them, they are delightful and can poke into anything just on their own! Sets of 3 pins, we have baby squirrels, ladybugs, a spring medley and seashells with a sailboat. I bet you can think of numerous different cushion designs for these.

  • Little Berry Thief - This is a sweet berry-shaped pin cushion with a little brown bird nibbling his precious and ripe strawberry. Stitched on 36ct Vintage Country Mocha linen with regular ol' DMC of B5200, 221, 869, 3011 and 3799... it finishes about 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches in size.

The chart includes an actual-sized template for the fabric size, and another for the green leaf top. Make that from vintage fabric or some wool. I like that Feather Stitching on the backside, too; it closes your berry!
  • Summer Sweets Pinkeep - Isn't this a pretty thing? Stitched on your choice of count of Country Vintage Mocha linen or aida, this hungry parent is bringing home quite the festive meal for baby!

Coded for DMC, it'll stitch in a jiff and be a charming addition to your filled bowl of bowl fillers!
  • Gathering Together Pinkeep - Brown and blues... this is stitched with just 5 shades of DMC - 413, 611, 844, 3011 and 3032. It's so bold, yet simple, and finishes 4-1/2 x 8 on 36ct. I think all the curves and the flowing angles of the flowers make this delightful to look at... it's a pretty composition.

    2 Designs from Romy's Creations
    • The Seasons in Snowballs: Four little pics all nestled in snowglobe shapes... we think summer is really in a a seashell! Each of the 4 of these is stitched on any hand-dyed light blue fabric you like best... they measure 98 x 77, so will be 5-1/2 x 7 on 14/28ct. I didn't opt for the Romy hand-dyed thread packs... but I think some of the colors might be easy to match to your stash colors. Delightful scenes, each is offered in a separate chart. Please note: the 4 snowglobes really ARE the same dimensions; the pics we have are a bit distorted.
    • Christmas and Halloween Trains - A pair of fun little train cars... each chart has it's three train cars in the pack. Basically finished like pincushions, you could make these into solid little blocks as well - joining them with thread and adding the button wheels. Christmas features Santa as the engineer with Frosty in the caboose... their little train is full of presents. Wouldn't it be cute to make these boxes - with open tops? You could add a 'gift-car' for everyone in the family - stitch their names on each of the cars. Then attach the train, stick it on the kitchen table, and fill each persons little car with something special? Could even do it everyday in December! Halloween could be the same way - The Trick or Treat Train! Make eveybody in the family a car... I love that ghost driving it... and the silly skeleton too!

Oh my gosh, this is a lovely set of 'seasonally colored' lace motif pin cushions. Lovely, gentle flowing designs... each 'season' isn't really 'seasonal' - the colors you work them in simply suggest. You CAN work the Winter set in the pinks of Spring... nobody will be the wiser... so this means that you can choose whichever one of these 4 charts you like best and stitch them in any colors you want!

Each of the three pieces in each season is the same size across the collection, so they will all mix and match. The smallest square is about 3 inches on 36, the larger square is about 4 inches, and the strawberries are about 2 x 4. Just a really, really pretty offering of coordinating designs - ready for your favoite colors!

    Presenting Dr Slick Razor-Sharp Scissors
Coming to us from the Fly-Fishing Industry are these incredible 3-1/2 and 4-inch scissors with huge "Gold Loop" finger holes, that can handle some pretty serious cutting needs! Wonderfully rounded handles with a nice weight to them, these feature larger finger holes and wonderfully fine and sharp precision cutting blades. The blades feature a very fine micro-serration to them which keeps your threads where you want them when you cut them, and yet they feel as smooth as butter.

As far as the finger holes go, we have a comparison picture showing the difference between our DOVO embroidery scissors and the handles of these scissors on our scissor page... along with lots of other specific scissor details. Dr Slick uses words like 'hypodermic sharp' to describe their tips, and Tungsten Carbide vs Stainless Steel to describe some of the metals. All I know is that they have a really nice balance and weight to them, they cut like a dream, and the blades and tips are SHARP. Actually almost too big for my hands... I know lots of you will LOVE these!

The Mill Hill People have adapted 4 new designs by Laurel Burch in to Cross Stitch. Animals from the Rainforests of the Amazon... aren't they awesome? Worked on 14ct Olive Green perforated paper, the colors in these are stunning - the animals are bold and stylized - and they are just dynamite!

Complete kits include the chart, paper, flosses, beads and needles. They are not solid beading - just enough glitz to highlight textures and give these animals personality. We have Giraffes, Leopards, a Mom Monkey with her baby, and Zebras - with wild eyes! Mill Hill makes frames for these... available separately.

    Polka Dot Scissor Sheaths!
Aren't these fun? These are pretty 'pleather' polka dot covers for your scissors. (Pleather is a kind way to say 'fake leather' or 'soft plastic!') Offered in 6 colors and 2 different sizes, the smaller 2-1/2 inch one fits a standard 3-1/2 inch embroidery scissor. The larger 3-1/4 inch sheath will work for 4 to 5-inch scissors. But... actually each will do the job for either size - some just like more shank coverage, and some scissors fit in one size better than the other.

In the pic, I have our 4-inch Antonia by DOVO pictured with the larger sheath, and our 3-1/2 Buckingham by WASA pictured by the smaller ones. (If you have to have a specific color, not a problem, just let us know in the comments box during your check-out process - we'll do our best!)

Oh my gosh, these are the CUTEST little cushions! Designed by Olde Colonial's Kelly, each is stitched on one-inch wide 26ct German linen banding. The cut of band in the kit in only 6 inches long... so when rolled, your tiny drum is only that 1-inch high by approx 1-1/2 inches wide. You are stitching with one thread of floss over one thread on the band... so each design is full of tiny details. We have three different designs so far... more are in the works... but get these stitched first!

Waiting for Santa has tiny evergreens and reindeer on it.
Grazing in the Grass has sheep and a little cow amidst the summer flags.
Presented as kits of the chart, banding, Skirtex and interfacings, topper and bottom wool felts and boards, and warm and natural for puffy... Pam has great photos in here of her finishing process. All you need to add are the bits (and I mean BITS) of floss. This has been one of Theresa Baird's exclusive class pieces that is now available in chart format. Just a gorgeous piece, Theresa's inspiration came from a Betty Ring sampler that sold at a Sotheby's auction for over a million dollars in 2012.

She was enchanted by the mansion with the cedar trees, the barnyard with the animals, the young lady sitting straight and proud atop a horse, the farmhouse on the hill, and the flanking baskets of fruits and flowers.

It measures 257 x 355, and is worked in silks. The chart is 38 pages... it is full of stitch diagram detail, and actual close-up pics of some areas. Not for the faint of stitcher - not the quickest stitch either! Just an EXQUISITE needlework design to tantalize the brave!

Wow... these are definitely for the serious music lover - and a serious stitcher! Ronnie Rowe is a really fun guy. I'd heard about his stuff for years... I didn't know he was a 'real person' until he showed up at market for the first time a couple of years ago! The man is eternally cheerful and assured me he was, indeed, alive! Completely talented - he sketches out all this stuff and then stitches it and charts it! Absolutely unbelievable in detail and vision, his designs will remain classics. His covers really don't do justice to the stitched pieces.

New this year are these 5 tributes to music. Each is presented as a chart and coded for just plain 'ol DMC floss. His style is to mimic pen and ink - these are so exciting, so realistic. They'd be lovely in a music room, recording studio, office, school... anywhere someone can appreciate them. They are generous in size - all around 12 x 17 (180 x 270 or 300 in stitch count) - so visually commanding!

Absolutely precious, the birds are also offered in other larger designs by Valerie -- pictured on our inside pages. They are 'kind of pricey' -- we are aware of that -- but I guess it's less expensive than planning a trip to the UK just to bring a few home!

On the Village scene, you can stitch just that square take-out of the church. Very do-able as ornaments, her shading is really nice. The Vin de France and Souvenir de Paris charts could be special remembrances from past trips!

We have beautiful designs by Marjorie Massey.
Even though she's French... we can still read the chart symbols and our familiar DMC color numbers! (Her chart titles are very confusing and numbering is not consistent, so we'll try to do our best labeling them in our mouse-overs and dropdowns!) All are available in chart format, very clear, colored graphs. Remember, you can change colors and fabrics - it's YOUR stitching!

Woodland Sampler - Stitched in only one or two colors - choose a hand-dyed that you like against a background fabric that you like - absolutely nothing is called on the chart! Put your family initial in the center circle... and you know what? You can even change the alphabet to spell anything else besides THE ALPHABET! Stitch count is approx 170 x 200, the chart is nice and big, and she does have it printed in two colors of ink.

Harbor Haven - The Complete Village
from By the Bay Needleart Donna Bayliss' 12-part Harbor Haven is FINISHED - and we have all the parts! Stitch just one or two sections - joined or singly for a bitty village - or do the whole thing, it's charming! Finishing 5 x 42 on 32ct, changing fabric size will really give you finished size options. The single scenes are only 3-1/2 x 5.

Charted for DMC floss, there are no special stitches in here... but she says you can add anything you want... and sub hand-dyeds if you have something you want to use.
