Announcing Just Nan's 2025 Ornament - Tiny Ginger Boy Cube Nan is releasing her 1-1/2 inch cube this week! Stitched on 32ct Raw Belfast Linen with DMC floss and a touch of gold metallic, each side of the cube features a tiny gingerbread man. Holly with berries borders the sides, and there are tiny poinsettias and lacy white snowflake bands all around. The chart includes gold beads, the enameled gingerbread boy charm, 8 pearl-white pins you see on the corners. You'll need only a 9 x 9 of fabric, and a bit of interfacing and stuffing for finishing.
20 Haunted Windows Pentagon Ball... Limited Edition Once again, Nan has really outdone herself! Nan's 20 Haunted Windows Pentagon Ball is a counted thread artwork ball inspired by an antique. Every turn of the ball reveals a pentagon shape. Twenty triangular haunted windows outlined in gothic black form the ball. The windows feature 4 Jacks, 4 Ghosts, 4 Spiders, 4 Skells plus a Black Cat, Witch, Mummy and Monster. The 20 windows are stitched on 5 pieces of 32 CT Weeks Peoria Purple linen using DMC floss. There are 4 window graphs for each piece of linen. The windows are accented with sparkling beads and a striped pumpkin bead in each corner. Complete assembly instructions and photos are included. (Stitching on 5 pieces is easier than stitching all 20 triangles on one piece of linen.) When assembled, each center point of a pentagon is highlighted with an embossed orange sequin and black bead. There are 12 centers. For a final touch, Nan provided a satin ghost and satin bat embellishment to pin in place wherever it suits you. This is sure to be a treasured heirloom.
Blooming Butterfly from Just Nan Blooming Butterfly floats in on lace-edged floral wings of pansies and daffodils. Stitch with a DMC color palette of lavender, pink, green, yellow and white on 32 CT Linen. Ice crystal beads add shimmer to the wings, while gold bronze beads accent the body and tips of the antennae. A sparkling Crystal Flower bead centers the small pansy between the antennae. A pretty design to usher in the blooming season ahead!
Nan's 2024 Christmas Mouse Ornament is Here! Nan's new ornament... there are three mice in this! One gold mouse bead is easy to see in the center, but two tiny white mice with red scarves are hidden in the design. Christmas flowers, holiday greenery and flowing bows in the border are all stitched with DMC shades of red, white and green - and accented with bits of gold metallic. Included, for more sparkle, are 4 sew-on garnet-red stones. Stitched on 32ct Natural linen, the chart comes with the gold mouse bead, the 4 red stones, and gold hanging ring. You supply the bit of 32ct, and the DMC from your stash. (Corner embellishments are simply straight pins with pearl tops Nan added from her stash.)
Presenting Just Nan's Merlin the Midnight Owl! Due in the Shop October 9th, Nan has a darling new little owl ornament pattern. She describes Merlin opening his starry eyes at midnight, under a silvery moon. Her newest little guy has a flat seamed bottom with wire feet to help him perch on any flat surface. Worked on 32ct Weeks Tin Roof Linen (stitching is full coverage, so linen will not show) with a combination of DMC and Weeks flosses, there is a bit of silver metallic in here as well. Eyes are sequins with beads, and there is an owl medallion charm on his back. His hat is a tiny purple crystal with silver sequin brim. His chart includes chart, instructions for stitching and finishing, multiple beads and sequins, owl head charmbead, and wire for feet. You'll need a bit of stuffing and a pin to attach his hat. Cute as can be... Nan has Merlin shown on a felt pumpkin she's had in her holiday decorations for years. It does not come with the pattern, so we suggest perching this little guy on those tiny real pumpkins! (Actually we think those small white ones are pretty cool for this.) (If you have been on our Just Nan ornament auto-ship -- you will get this little guy - but it's OK to call and check!)
Magical, a new band sampler and coordinating Pin Cube! Nan is currently working on a new band sampler and pin cube set which will be called Magical. It is her first band sampler in 10 years. Sampler measures 8 1/2 H X 5 inches W on 32 CT Zweigart Antique White Linen. She is stitching it with DMC floss in shades of pink, blue, lavender and green with an original verse and 6 diagrammed specialty stitches. Mingled in with rows of garden flowers are bluebirds, bees, butterflies, ladybugs and, since this is a magical garden, you will also find 2 lavender mice, a blue spider and a pink hedgehog! There will be lots of treasure! Unique embellishments include a painted gold flower spray, gold lined crystals, tiny gold flower beads, 3 colors of seed beads and white pearls. A tiny pin cube measuring 1 1/4 inch square matches the sampler with flowers on 5 sides and the spider and mice on the bottom. Cube design is 5 1/2 H X 4 inches W on the same linen. The cube perches on 4 fancy flower feet which the stitcher will pin in place with straight pins. The crowning touch is a Magic Flower Pin to be assembled by the stitcher and inserted in the top of the cube. The kit includes Pretty Pin Parts and instructions. Magical will include a color cover, 12-page Stitch Guide, all the embellishments including the flower feet for the cube, plus Pretty Pin Parts. Stitcher will need to provide stuffing for the cube and 4 straight pins.
Presenting Madame Butterfly Mouse on a Tin Nan's last little mouse perched on her tin house will be here by the end of April! Madame is ready for the sunny flower-filled days of summer. She is wearing a gown of gorgeous butterflies and pretty pink rose stitches accented with sky blue and golden bronze beads. Her blue flower hat is pinned in place with three blue beads, so she's ready for a sudden gust of wind! Her tin perch is decorated with rings of blue and bronze butterflies set against a dramatic black background, and Nan has added blue scalloped trim along the edge. Inside Madame's tiny tin, you'll be able to tuck your tiny frayed-edge needlebook. It is decorated with butterfly stitches, an antique brass butterfly charm, and sparkling blue crystal. Both the mouse and book are stitched on Week's Dye Work's 32ct Linen color of hand-dyed linen using DMC floss from your stash. Included with the leaflet are all the stitching and finishing instructions, beads, flower hat, butterfly charm, needlebook felt, decorated metal tin, gold tail and Nan's signature button base with magnet. All you'll need is a tiny bit of fusible interfacing for the book and mouse. Too darn cute, Madame Butterfly is the final Mouse on a Tin. The Peacock and Bee Mice are sold out... but we still have Little Lady in Red Ladybug Mouse!
Just Nan has announced her Rose Heart Bunny Little Rose Heart Bunny will be on her way to us an a few weeks.... she is Nan's final little 1 x 1-1/2 inch mouse design. She has soft pink felt ears and a furry pom-pom tail... and she'll be precious as an ornament, pin keep, spool topper, ornament - anything you want! Stitched on 32ct white linen with shades of pink and green DMC, she is embellished with rose beads, along with her ears and tail. She is also wearing a tiny Rose Quartz heart HAT that is held in place with a tiny pearl pin. All of Nan's previous little bunnies are now retired, and Rose Heart is the last in the series. Her chart includes the pic, graph, instructions for stitching and assembly, overdyed wool for the ears, pom-pom tail, beads and pin. You'll need a tiny bit of batting to line/stuff her.
Christmas Snowfall Biscornu - A 3-1/4 inch biscornu cushion, stitched on both sides, this is covered with Nan's pretty lacy snowflakes, red flowers, greenery and flowing ribbons. She has white and gold beads everywhere and iridescent snowflake sequins decorating all the corners. Stitched on 32ct Natural linen with bits of DMC and metallic, (all available separately) the chart comes with the beads and snowflake sequins. Just a pretty little thing - this is also small enough to be a hanging ornament.

Presenting Just Nan's Newest Little Mouse-on-a-Tin - Lady in Red She is the 4th in this series and ready for Spring in a beautiful costume of bitty ladybugs, greenery and pretty red and pink flowers. Garnished with red and gold beads, her flower hat is pinned in place with pearls, and even her tail is red! Perched atop her decorated 2-inch round tin, she is magnetized for stability. Inside the tin, you'll stitch the 1-1/4 needle mat decorated with more ladybugs and flowers. Mouse and needlebook are stitched on Weeks' hand-dyed Linen... and just as cute as can be! Winter Rose Petite Flower Cushion A tiny wisp of a thing, this is worked on 32ct Morris Blue hand-dyed linen by Weeks. (Lots of gorgeous light blues will work for this.) DMC, with beaded flakes in the corners, there is a snowflake sequin in the center of the petite 2-1/4 ornament or cushion. Definitely a quick stitch! Presented as the small chart with embellishments.

It companions High Hopes and it's the same size as Ghastly Ghostly Ghouls. It features a snowman charmbead... and finishes about 6 x 6.
Presenting Bumble & Hoot Needle Book A whimsical duo of Bumble (who is a jazzy Autumn bee with copper dusted wings) and Hoot (He is a white feathered owl) grace the front of this octagonal fall-inspired needle book. Stitched on 32ct Stone Grey Belfast linen, using 12 shades of Gentle Art Sampler Threads, this finishes just a mere 2-1/4 inches in size! Pansy Rose Cube Pansy Rose Cube is Nan's perch for Pansy bunny - or any of her other delightful bunnies and mice! Each of the 5 sides features delicate pansies and pearl-centered satin flowers - every side is different, but they are all part of the same garden. Bunnies are peeking out the grasses on the 6th-side - the bottom! Stitched on 32ct Lilac Linen with DMC floss, the chart comes with all the necessary beads and pearls, Nan suggests Dritz glass headed pins from the craft store for those edge treatments. Just a pretty little thing, your cube measures about 2 x 2 when finished. Nan has called for Zweigart's Lilac Linen... we also have Permin's Peaceful Purple, which is an absolute dreamy alternative!
Presenting Birthday Mouse Just Nan Designs turns 29 years old this year. So to help everyone celebrate a special birthday, we present a little Happy Birthday Mouse and her little Garden Cube! Birthday Mouse is a Limited Edition Ornament. She is wearing a special gold birthday hat secured with a white top pin and gold star sequin. She holds a balloon created from a frosted teal bead and a white wire string - so it floats forever! Her charming birthday outfit is decorated with birthday heart balloons, flowers and candles... and she has a lavender fringed scarf, scattered with confetti beads as well. He's only 2 x 3-1/2 but rolls into a teeny-weeny little cone-shaped mouse. His chart comes with his hat charm, felt for his bag, and candy cane charm, along with assorted beads, his tail hanger and weighted bottom button.

Just Nan's Lettered Border Series Wow... what a pretty set of seasonal houses all surrounded by the most bold and charming borders! Each has it's 5 x 5 cottage and landscaping -- which draws your eye to the center... BUT... then your eye goes to the awesome borders... so I don't know which is neater! Baby Celebration There is a new granddaughter in Nan's life! Baby Hope arrived this past Fall, just as sweet as she can be! So... Nan's best-selling Baby Garden has a sequel!!!! Baby Celebration is a garden full of baby critters, delicate florals and greenery. Stitched on 32ct Raw Belfast linen, there is a baby in the crib, the garden clock recording time of birth, and rows and rows of bunnies, bees, and ladybugs. Featured is a hand-painted swan charm gliding in the garden pond. Like Baby Garden, just a lovely birth memento -- timeless. Finishing approx 4-1/2 x 10, there are six special stitches featured, and those bees and bugs worked over one. Offered as the leaflet with embellishments.
Flowering Crown Could be a crown, but could be a Spring Basket of blooms -- tempting those bunnies-in-waiting! Nan's newest design is worked on 32ct Angel Blush Belfast linen in DMC and Gentle Art Sampler Threads. Finishing 3 x 5, it features gold bead embellishments and a lovely Springtime basket of pink, green and lavender blooms. I think my favorite part is the corner treatment with the tiny rabbits -- wouldn't they make sweet little ornaments? Hootzi Humbug Well, WHOO can resist this darling little hooting owl? Introducing Hootzie Humbug -- Just Nan's newest tiny creation -- a four-sided little piece -- complete with stitching all around that used to come with a sparkly Charm Garden Owl Pin -- now all gone. The name 'Humbug' refers to the English name for a hard candy that is shaped like a little pyramid. A fun shape that is easy to construct, (REALLY!), Hootzi is stitched on 28ct Light Sand Cashel Linen in DMC flosses, and three Sampler Threads. He's perched above a pumpkin patch, and his colors are a splash of Autumn Wonder!!! He comes as a small chart-pack, with complete assembly instructions, a gold topper ring, tiny plaid ribbon, and bits of glass beads -- all to finish approx 3 x 3! Perfect for an ornament or scissor fob! Hootzie is the introduction to Nan's newest set of 4 Humbug shaped designs releasing in 2010. Ghoulies & Ghosties Ghoulies and Ghosties is a colorful piece... kind of a spindly 'tree' of Halloween silliness... it's full of bright oranges, yellows, slime green, black, white and purple. All of Nan's favorite creatures are in this one, the little swirly ghosts, the HUGE spider, the funky witch, it's just darling. We're planning on finishing our shop model into a Tall Triangle Stand-up, with a big, lavish topper. Ghoulies and Ghosties looks to finish approx 5 x 9, and is stitched on 28ct Country French Cappuccino Linen in DMC's or an awesome selection of silks!
Making Friends Just like Frightful... this is a tiny collection of tiny pieces... they go together... but individually... they fit perfectly into their own little Just Nan Whimzi Frames!!! Are you watching that little snowman making another??? Each square of the main design tells a part of the Making Friends story! Garnished with a central snowflake embellishment, it's a challenge to see where the stitches stop and the embellishment begins!

Baby Garden Nan and John became grandparents on August 6th of last year, and this darling sampler commemorates little Victor! Oh gosh, his baby garden features his cradle, room for his name, a clock for his time of birth, and tons of little critters! Stitched on 28ct Natural linen, using 8 different stitches, you'll find all sorts of treasures tucked into this! Victor has a fish pond, lots of flowers and trees, bunnies (the featured embellishment is a hand-painted bunny Charmbead), assorted bugs, frogs, birds and a nest, squirrels, kitties (Grandma's favorite animals), a turtle, spider and even a little lizard!!! What a lucky kid!!! Baby Garden finishes approx 10 x 5, and is full of Just Nan detail and elegance! Witch Way Nan's Halloween piece for 2003 is here, along with several other new designs! Darling, darling, Witch Way is full of bright oranges, copper, yellows, golds, slime-lime greens, purple, deep blue and of course, black! Stitched in either silk or DMC flosses, and finishing approx 6 x 6 on 28ct, there are a few special stitches included in the witch's broom and hair for added texture and interest -- although there is plenty going on to delight the eye!
The little witch is casting a spell into her cauldron, the ghosts are holding Jack 'O Lanterns, and check out the teeny toads in there! The center embellishment is a 1/2-inch pewter witch charm that has been painted with a lime green face, purple cape, black dress and orange broom... and no, it doesn't look at all like Nan!!! Definitely a 'happening little piece', a purple mat or pillow would be stunning, too! We have the special 15-reel silk-pack available for Witch Way... everything needed to stitch the piece...
