The Shepherd's Bush Stocking Collection
Wow... this is the most charming collection of Christmas Stockings... Shepherd's Bush has designed a new stocking every year! Always offered in leaflet format with separate charm packet... each stocking is named after a member of Tina and Terri's family!

Always stitched on 20ct Natural Linen with #5 Perle Cottons... a few feature Rainbow Gallery's Alpaca thread for hair, and in the recent years, the girls have started using more and more overdyed perle cottons. Our Stocking Cut of linen is a 'fat quarter', which measures 18 x 27 inches. There is plenty of extra room to make some smaller matching ornaments and such from the cut. We carry EVERYTHING for EVERY stocking. So, browse the collection, and enjoy!

NOTE: Since Classic Colourworks is not dyeing the #5 Perle cotton any more, and SB was using a lot of them in their stockings, Shepherd's Bush has sent us this conversion chart. We'll keep this online, but you might want to print it out to keep with your stocking patterns.

Nutty or Nice from Satsuma Street - click for more Nutty or Nice from Satsuma Street
Nutty or Nice is her next Christmas Stocking - the fifth so far. Stitched on a classic, rich red this is charted for DMC floss and does also use silver and gold metallic. On 14ct, it'll finish into a 10 x 16 stocking (there is a row or two of stitching inside the seams so the design will go all the way to your edge.)

Such bright, happy colors... I like the mini-ball trim she's used as well. The chart comes in full color, and is printed HUGE, so you'll love working from it.

Santa's Flight by Satsuma Street - click for more Sky-High Santa by Satsuma Street - click for more Sky-High Santa and Santa's Flight from Satsuma Street
Satsuma Street's Jodi Rice has sent two new Santa patterns both featuring hot air balloons - which is one of Santa's Sleigh alternatives!
  • Sky High Santa is glorious in his delightful balloon! Worked on a deep blue fabric - choose your count - it is coded for regular DMC floss, and will finish approx 11 x 17 on 14/28ct. Gorgeous, bright colors.... throw on some beads or add some metallics if you feel like it! (Our Rainbow Gallery Petite Treasure Braids come in about 100 colors so there are lots of possibilities!) The chart is huge, and printed in color, the leaflet includes complete stocking finishing instructions as well.
  • Santa's Flight features Santa in a pastel-colored balloon high over the sleeping village. He finishes about 6 x 11 on 14/28 - a little smaller than the Sky High Santa - but he'd make a nice stocking companion anyway. This pattern has a few silver glass seed beads called for, and some silver and gold metallic... just absolutely charming! Use the finishing instructions supplied in Sky High, use the beaded idea from this one for that one, and you can have a matching pair of hot-air balloon stockings!

Oh Deer! by Satsuma Street - click for more Fa-la-la-llama by Satsuma Street - click for more Fa-la-la-llama and Oh Deer! from Satsuma Street
Satsuma Street has fun new stocking designs that certainly fits the bill for creative Christmas decor! This happy little guy is bringing tons of Holiday Cheer... he's all dressed up... isn't he cute?

Stitch count is 155 x 237, so they finish into a 10 x 16 stocking on 14/28ct fabric. The cover pics are worked on a light blue or black hand-dyed, and look perfect. Coded for DMC, the charts don't call for any embellishment, but some cute baubles or trims might be really FUN on these! Alphabet is included for personalization across that top banded area.

Twelve Days of Christmas Stocking from Bent Creek -- click to see more The Bent Creek Collection
4 Stockings so far in this collections -- I wish we had a finished model of the newest one... I wanted all my pictures to be the same! CUTE, CUTE group -- each is stitched on 20ct Natural Linen in Gentle Art and Weeks hand-dyed flosses. You could always use Perle instead -- your preference. Easy charts, just precious designs!

The shape of these finished models are a bit 'stubby.' YOU CAN CHANGE THAT! Simply draw a different outside shaped template... even adding that little toe-reinforcement crescent of stitching like a real sock has would work for these! All are offered as leaflets, and feature separate clay embellishment packs.

Angels, Children, Snowmen and Santa... All make for charming Stockings
from Birds of a Feather!
Birds of a Feather designed this delightfully unique set of four stockings - all very loonnnng and skinny! Stitched on something dark like Weeks Havana hand-dyed linen, each measures 203 wide by 317 long... so on 30ct... that makes them 20 inches long!!!Gorgeous hand-dyed flosses by Weeks with a few DMC solids tossed in, each one is cuter than the last!

There is no alphabet included to personalize them... but there is plenty of room for that up in that checkerboarded top area if you want that. Classic stockings designed years ago, that are still charming!!!

The Just Nan Stocking Collection
I just want to highlight -- in one place on our site -- Nan's lovely collection of Christmas Stockings. Each have been annual releases, and cover 8 years! Timeless designs, each is prettier than the last. Lots of verticall bands, pretty stitches, beads and crystals, you'll notice that the top bands do not feature names. If you like, you can add that to the top of each... but I like that small tag that can hang off the side... a really classy way to announce the owner!

The Angel Stocking features a center area that will fit ANY of Nan's 15 Annual Angels... so you have LOTS of choices for this one! (You could stitch the whole family angels, using the same main stocking design. This leaflet includes one angel design.)

Little Victor -- Nan's first grandson -- arrived almost 5 years ago, and his stocking does differ from the rest. He has that darling teddy bear, and lots of tiny motifs from Nan's other Christmas designs! More color for Victor -- he IS kind of a bold little personality -- so he deserves to be different from the rest!

Anyway, quite an eye-catching collection of elegant stockings, totally different from the usual whimsical stockings available... stunning hanging from an elegant, traditional mantle! Each is offered as the leaflet with embellishments.

Winter Snow Stocking from Heartstring Samplery - click for more Winter Snow Stocking from Heartstring Samplery
This is a pretty little stocking that can be stitched over one thread on something small to make an ornament. It has a stitch count of only 40 x 100... so if you try to make it into a regular-sized stocking, THAT person won't be happy because it won't be big enough for Santa to fill!

On 36ct, it'll finish approx 2 x 5... threads used are only Weeks Seagull and Pelican Gray, so it looks frosty, wintery and chilly! *Winter snow soft and slow.*

Dash Away All from Stoney Creek - click for more Sleepy Santa from Stoney Creek - click for more Up on the Rooftop from Stoney Creek - click for more Dash Away All from Stoney Creek
Coded for DMC (like 50 of them) and a few metallics, it'll finish a generous 11 x 17 on 14/28ct. (A decent Santa-size!) Not a lot of backstitch... even though this is quite an involved design... we think it's more 'Do-Able' than a lot of others!
  • Dash Away All Santa in his sleigh is a charming stocking option! Generally, this kind of design comes in a kit, but this one is offered in leaflet format because it is a reprint from an old 2013 out-of-print Stoney Creek Magazine! Stitch it on something dark - to simulate the night-time sky - we have gunmetal and deep blue colors that are easier to see than this striking black.
  • Up on the Rooftop - Reprinted from 2011... same size as the rest, so you can have a nice set - leaflet format
  • Sleepy Santa - Reprinted from 2012 - Again, same size, color selections - leaflet format.

The Stocking Collection from Blackbird Designs
Three little stocking each month... by the time December rolls around, you'll have a 36-piece set of miniature stocking ornaments for a table-top tree!!!!! Barb and Alma of Blackbird Designs have three 5-1/2 x 8 mini-leaflet publications already, one for each month, and we're going to begin auto-ships for the rest of the year! Each stocking a sampler theme, January's features a New Year's design, a birthday stocking, and winter carnations. February's has sweethearts and violets, and March has a green Quaker piece, daffodils and a tiny shamrock stocking!

All measuring the same size -- approx 3 x 5 on 30ct -- each uses different overdyed linens, and call for overdyed flosses. Stitch counts average 43 x 73... so final sizes change depending on your fabric choices. I'd pick a couple of your favorite neutral fabric colors, get fat quarters of those (you'll get 6 stocking per fat quarter piece, there are 36 total in this series) and repeat the linens throughout the year. These would be pretty on hand-dyed or regular linens, and aida, too!!!!
*A DEFINITE* to collect!
