Floralies
I love this cheerful floral garden! Stitched with DMC on any neutral background, it's just colorful and happy. Stitch count is 173 x 173, so it'll finish about 9-1/2 inches on 18/36ct.

You COULD finish this into a square pin pillow - fold under the fence pieces to the backside... and you'd get a little 5-inch-ish two-sided cushion! An easy stitch, presented as a chart for $12.

Spring Designs
from Jardin Prive'
Here are two whimsical designs - one for 'Gnome Nuts' and the other just plain cute! Les Olympiades des Gnomes
It's Summer Games time. We have someone with a punching bag while his 'spotter' is sleeping, tennis, someone lifting weights - those baskets of flowers, the guy on the bike holding the torch, a runner, and finally the little swimmer down there ready to jump!

Actually pretty silly, you could stitch just one or two of these and make pin cushions to use while you're watching this summer's Olympics!

Quaker de la Brodeuse from Jardin Prive - click for more
Quaker de la Brodeuse
A round version with Quaker motifs vs the crossword-style of 'Stitchery', this finishes approx 10 inches in diameter on 18ct.

Coded for DMC - just 7 colors - it says Cross Stitch in all different languages!

Viva la Vida from Jardin Prive - click for more Viva la Vida
By Jardin Prive, this is a super-fun checkerboard of Summertime! I thought I'd put it up on 'Just Arrived' to give you an 'out-of-season-jolt!' Remember summertime, green grass, Popsicles and flowers? This colorful piece offers all that inside it's wildflower border - you even get the summer road trip from the mountains to the beach down at the bottom. 64 Tiny blocks - only 19 x 19 stitches - each has either an alphabet letter or tiny motif inside. Everything summer is in here, along with several blocks of cross stitch and needlework stuff - a hoop, scissors, spool of thread, floss bobbin, and buttons.

Stitched with regular DMC floss, the whole thing measures 210 in stitch count - or a serious 11-1/2 inches on 18ct. Now... think about deconstructing this - the borders would make rally cute windowsill 'hotdogs!' All those tiny squares would make fun cubes, or scissor fobs... you could spell someone's name and add a few pictures... it can take you till summer to figure out all the different ways you can have fun with this one!

Little Gnomes
Here's a trio of Gnome designs throughout the seasons. Cute as can be, each one looks the same, but they are all different. The little guys are growing things in the garden, cooking, skiiing, sleeping, and always doing the laundry!

Coded for DMC, they finish approx 8 x 8 on 32ct. So far in the set we have Halloween, Christmas and Spring.

Several Fun Charts from Jardin Prive - Spring, Halloween and Christmas!
  • Chasse aux Oeufs - A pretty Quaker-inspired egg-shaped design... this is done on 32ct linen in DMC's of 469, 471, 840, 922 and 3820. So simple but really pretty - you could change the solid flosses to hand-dyeds to give this more depth. It finishes 7 x 9 on 32ct... I would finish it as a flat egg-shape hanging... and maybe do the bunnies in Simply Wool?
  • Patchwork HalloweenNathalie has several of these patchwork designs in her collection - they're pretty cute because of all the smalls tucked in the squares. Stitch the 7-1/2 inch sampler on 32ct, or split up the motifs and make cubes, fobs, sewing cases, basket bands, anything. It's easy to manipulate a design like this because all the tiny parts are the same size. Coded for DMC.

Stitchery from Jardin Prive - click for more Stitchery
Here's a fun design of everything 'cross stitch!' Stitched with DMC, on 16/32ct, it finishes approx 9 x 14. It'd be cute as a door sign to your stitching room. It'd be fun inserted into the front of a stitch pouch or tote bag... or even on a stitching mat.

You COULD stitch some of the individual words - like needle or cross stitch, and finish that smaller area into its own pin cushion - literally cutting off stitching around it - that's kind of a fun design angle! Offered as a chart, choose any fabric you like for this.

Patchwork Baby from Jardin Prive - click for more Festival de Fleurs from Jardin Prive - click for more
Patchwork Baby, Festival de Fleurs, Aux Couleurs de Digoin
We have some new arrivals here... some have just been nestled in our baskets of charts... here we go!
  • Patchwork Baby - follows the same design format as some of her other designs, Nathalie's birth announcement measures 117 stitches square - so not too big. Coded for DMC in either pink or blue... I am learning as a new expectant Grandmother... that pink and blue are NO NO! It's just crazy... you can do any colors you want... just be aware that pink and blue will match NOTHING in the new nursery! The design is cute - strollers are coming with bassinets now... so looks more like the pram in the pic, but nobody hangs clothes out of the line to dry anymore... and of course the diaper pins... we didn't even LOOK at cloth diapers when we were out shopping!
  • Festival de Fleurs - DE-LISH! This is a fun design - a set of nine pin-cushion-sized pieces. Each square is 59 x 59 stitches - so 3 x 3 on 18/36 ct. Notice the vases are all different and alphabet letters are hidden in them? Only 9 colors of regular DMC floss - simple and subtle!
Carrot Market from Jardin Prive - click for more Carrot Market
Well, there's the whole Hare Family! OK... stitch the left-hand side of the design - just the littlest bunny with the wagon and bee... or add the sign and daffodils to it. OR... stitch the bunny in overalls with the bigger cart... they'd both be cute block stand-ups. OR... do the whole line and wrap it around a bucket, planter or basket. (In that vein, you could make a stuffed drum shape with a topping tuft of Week's hand-dyed wool!(and JABCO has CARROT pins... so many choices for this!)

Presented as a chart, this is coded for DMC - cute, bright, happy colors. It measures 178 x 46... so 3 x 12 on 16/32ct. You have some length there to do a nice wrap... and you could always add a kid or two... or make the little back wagon a double-trailer!!! So cute!

We have several new designs by Jardin Prive... a pair of long skinnies are showcased here... we have a third sheep medley design, cat lovers, a cute spool-of-thread piece, and a neighborhood of cute houses. Make sure to click through to our page that shows them all... cute stuff! Everything is presented in chart format and coded for regular DMC floss.

ABC de la Brodeuse
This is an over-the-top cute needleworker's alphabet by Nathalie Cichon of Jarden Prive. With a stitch count of 76 x 565, this will finish a whopping 5-1/2 x 40-1/2 on 14/28... all the way down to 2-1/2 x 20 over one on 28ct! You choose your fabric of choice to make this YOURS! It would be awesome to split it all up and make a ton of pin cushions... there are a bunch of little motifs and borders all through this.

Charted for regular DMC floss, you could add hand-dyeds, buttons, beads, charms... anything you want. Just such a fun piece for a stitcher... hang it beside the door to your stitching lair!

ABC des Maisons from Jardin Prive - click for more
ABC des Maisons
An organized neighborhood of houses... this finishes approx 8 x 11 on 32ct.

I think the trees are fun, because they're all different. The houses are all too... and the little hills. Which house would you live in? Charted for DMC, might make a cute set of cushons or fobs.

Cute Designs
A trio of charming charts we stumbled across at the recent Spring Wholesale Needlework Market -- all three of these can be stitched on any fabric you like, and are coded for DMC floss. No special embellishments or threads called for -- that's YOUR challenge if you're up to it! Add some beads to borders and eyes, furry Simply Wools to the animals, maybe some bitty bells for the cat collars? Some metallic to those scissors... what about Satin Stitches on the thread spools? French Knots for the sheep and bee buttons???

Each of them is really cute, and full of fun design motifs. Cats and Dogs both measure 117 x 117 -- about 8-1/2 inches square on 14/28ct. The Scissors and Spools measures 143 x 86 -- so about 10 x 6. Cute!
