We welcome Designer Robin Mayer to our She Shed for her first-time-retreat here! I don't know the specific project details, but do know our theme will be Halloween, and we'll be painting a 'pin-cushion-y base something,' and I think there is wool involved and a design based on an antique in Robin's personal collection. I love her vintage Halloween and Christmas designs, so we're excited.

Class includes all kits and materials, snacks and drinks and two days to total fun. Lunch is on our own, (but our snacks are pretty good!) There are 7 restaurants in our center so nobody goes hungry! Class happens in our She Shed and is limited to 40. Class fee is $275 - $50 is due at registration. Balance of $225 is due March 20th, 2027. Cancellations made before March 20th receive funds paid less $50.00. Cancellations after March 20 may receive kits with no refunds.

We are excited to be hosting Beth Twist this year! She does beautiful samplers, and we love to hear about her husband's wood business and her bees... you'll enjoy your time with her. Sherry Baker is a very dear shop-owner friend of mine. She owns Country Crafts in Greeley, Colorado. We decided that even though she isn't a famous designer, she's absolutely delightful, and will be a fun light-hearted addition to our weekend!

Our She Shed is set-up beginning Monday, July 12th for early-bird arrivals. Come and stitch for a few days before the festivities. We host Magic By Mona Finishing Frenzy classes (optional and additional) on Wednesday and Thursday in The She Shed and our larger Main Event Space Opens Wednesday for stitching as well.

Officially, Happy Hour begins Thursday at 4:45pm, followed by dinner and a short presentation from Beth. The event includes Thursday evening's happy hour, dinner and project, Friday and Saturday's projects, lunch and fun give-aways. We'll have a 'smalls' exchange and lots of silent auction items - all proceeds raised going to Charity. Snacks and beverages here all week long too. It's a busy and full week!

Our event runs $550, $50 due at registration. $250 due by January 10th to reach $300. Balance due April 15th. Cancellations before April 15th receive funds paid less $50. Cancellations after April 15 may receive kits with no refunds. Mona's classes run $60 or $110 for both days, homework sent with money paid in March.

Mona will teach you different (too early for details right now, but probably 6) assembly/finishing techniques and fill your brain with LOTS of great tips, hints, and finishing advice. You'll have pre-stitching homework (if you want to actually assemble your projects in class)... or you can come 'stitch-less' and finish pieces with muslin blanks - simply to learn the techniques. Whatever makes you happy!

You WILL BE BUSY in this 2-day Academy... and you will go home with things DONE, along with written hand-outs of everything you did in class, and even the stuff you missed, messed up on, or even forgot about! You'll have fabric count choices... we'll be in touch when homework goes out!

We're going to make a mess in our back room dying linen, wool felt, threads and whatever... Miranda brings all the 'stuff' and we get to play with it all. Miranda started Weeks Dye Works in the bathtub of her first apartment... she has a fabric and art education background, so she's fun to listen to. Lots of years of being one of the top thread and fabric companies in our business... we just love having her come!

Delightful offerings approx every other month... till August of 2027 (if we can stay on schedule!)... these ladies will do their designing best to bring us pin-cushion-sized projects. Everything around 70 x 70 to 90 x 90 in stitch count... stitching, friendship or home sweet home themes... we're mindful of stitching time and budgets!

Every 8 weeks (or so!) we'll be sending you a fun pin-cushion-sized design, that will be kitted with fabric and threads (occasionally trim too). Our target budget this year is around $55 per kit. We always tuck in some sort of bonus 'treasure or what-not'... hopefully a functional needlework trinket or something cute that goes with our project. Our Designers will do their best to bring you something charming, we promise! Everybody loves surprises in the mail... and these certainly fit the bill!
