We're going every-other day this year and offering Treats each Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the month of May! We'll post the Treat here... then click through the pic to choose yours. Our Treats special pricing is good on its day and the next, unless we run out of it.
(That means Monday's Treat should last Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday should last Wed and Thursday.
Friday's should last the weekend.
But... if we run out, the Treat is devoured and gone until the next one releases!)

Wednesday and Thursday's Treat features Petal Pusher Designs
The Patriotic Parade from Petal Pusher - click to see more Barbie Tingley has the cutest animals all dressed up for the seasons! Actually, they are the 5 same farm animals - a pig, cow, horse, chicken and sheep - but they dress themselves all up for the seasons and change their names! My favorite names are Uncle Ham, Bat Pig, Moo-Ells De Ville and Moo-dolf! So... each season has a parade of the 5 animals.

The Spring Fling, Patriotic Parade, Holiday Hoedown and Halloween Hoedown sets are all included in our special. Normally the charts are $6 each, but today's treat offers them for $4 each. Get all the charts of one animal (for instance all 4 pigs) or get a whole parade... you choose! How Does Your Garden Grow is the other design on Barbie's page... it's fun too, because YOU choose from the 11 designs to make your own Springtime Garden Row!

Presenting Dr Slick Razor-Sharp Scissors
Coming to us from the Fly-Fishing Industry are these incredible 3-1/2 and 4-inch scissors with huge "Gold Loop" finger holes, that can handle some pretty serious cutting needs! Wonderfully rounded handles with a nice weight to them, these feature larger finger holes and wonderfully fine and sharp precision cutting blades.Dr Slick SN60 3-1/2 Inch Arrow The blades feature a very fine micro-serration to them which keeps your threads where you want them when you cut them, and yet they feel as smooth as butter.

As far as the finger holes go, we have a comparison picture showing the difference between our DOVO embroidery scissors and the handles of these scissors on our scissor page... along with lots of other specific scissor details. Dr Slick uses words like 'hypodermic sharp' to describe their tips, and Tungsten Carbide vs Stainless Steel to describe some of the metals. All I know is that they have a really nice balance and weight to them, they cut like a dream, and the blades and tips are SHARP. Actually almost too big for my hands... I know lots of you will LOVE these!

Summer Stitching by Stitching With The Housewives! - Three New Releases.
All are parts of their set of 12 monthly designs... but you can just pick and choose one of two; you don't have to get all 12!
Everything comes as a chart, and coded for DMC or hand-dyed floss. Even though they are shown on a black background, these do turn out pretty cute on lighter background shades as well! Since each of these continues in their series, we have those all organized together for you on our SWTH page... you can see all designs so far in any series!
  • Berry Bakery is another in their 'Up on a Pedestal' series - full of strawberries and red summer color. Finishes about 5 x 7.
  • Hello America is the next in the 'All Jarred Up' set. It's kind of hard to tell with this one... but Uncle Sam is supposed to be standing in a jar. If you have no reason for Sam-in-a-jar, just bust him out of there! Leave off the jar and move over the signs so they replace that area. He's cute with all his fire works.
  • Proud to be an American is part of the 'Back Up the Trucks' series. Cute old trucks surrounded by chickens or flowers or signs-of-the-seasons.

Charts are large, and in addition to the black and white version, you get a complete color version as well. Available separately or all three together in one leaflet... choose just your favorite one or two... or do all three for a really nice trio presentation!
  • Shore of Freedom is fun. We're arriving to Ellis Island via that glorious hot air balloon and the sailing ship. Did you see the mermaids on here? 12 Colors of DMC, it finishes approx 10 x 10 on 32ct.
  • Independence Bell - This has the flavor of a European church! But we like it anyway! 16 Colors of DMC, this finishes about 7 inches square on the 32ct.
  • Lady Liberty - This is my favorite... love those ships sailing into the New York Harbor! This one finishes about 10 x 10 on 32ct.

A Few New Offerings from Kathy Barrick
  • The Moons of 2022 - This is a NEAT design! Ms. Kathy has listed the names for each month's moon in her verse, and surrounded them by a glorious border of night sky and early morning woods! Because we are already into 2022, and have already seen some of these moons, she has listed the 2023 moons inside the pattern (so you have no excuse not to stitch this) and then PROMISES that she'll do monthly moon names for 'as long as anyone needs them!'
The moon names are selected by the Olde Farmer's Almanac, and Kathy has included a chart of a more condensed version of this - omitting those moon names - giving you just the sky and hills. Worked on 40ct linen, this finishes about 10 x 16... love the stylized trees and the rolling hills and that dramatic sky.
  • Spring Pin Drum - Isn't this little guy cute? A Bunny, butterfly, willow tree and the urn - which is half-stitched on each end! There is a picture on the cover showing that complete urn when you finally finish your drum! Stitched on 36ct, this finishes about 4-1/2 inches tall. Along with the chart, Kathy has finishing instructions included for that cool velvet strawberry garnishing the top!
  • A Parliament of Owls - None of them look scary - they're all pretty cute! Part of The Collective Noun Set of charts by Liz Matthews and Kathy - just for fun - because they can!
  • The Lion & The Lamb -- Coded for DMC or silks.. the Fox & Rabbit Ancient Ruin linen is a MUST for this striking piece! I love that gorgeous red flower in the center of this 7 x 12 piece.

7 New Needlecase and Beaded Fob Sets
from Fern Ridge Collections
The Fern Ridge ladies have been busy! We have 7 new needlecase and beaded fob sets to show you. The beaded scissor fobs are all flat Peyote beading - which you do in your hands - not on a loom. They look super hard, and really aren't at all. The most challenging part is keeping control of your threads and not tangling them between the 'frizzies' of the fringe! We have a ton of models in the shop for all of Pat and Peggy's things, so next time you're in... we need to give you 'a tour!' All of their kits come complete with all the threads, beads and extra stuff you need! They have actual photographs inside of stitch layouts and clear stitch diagrams and good color pictures to help you with your finishing.
  • Carrot Patch - The Needle/Sewing Case of this set is done on white linen, and is lined with bright orange. Stitched with silks, it finishes about 2 x w when closed, and comes with that cute bunny-shaped wooden thread board. One of my pics shows the kit ingredients - the beads and charms are just stunning! The Carrot Patch fob has the same cheerful bright greens and oranges, and more rabbit and carrot charms... this one has a few less rows of Peyote than some others... TOPS, it'll take 3 to 4 hours from start to finish.
  • Magnificent Magnolia Set - This little fob is really elegant! The green, cream and white are highlighted by the golden yellow. They've put white opalescent flower beads into the fringe. The matching stitched case is about 3 x 4... the original picture shows a rectangular shell button but the kits have been released with the most gorgeous creamy mother-of-pearl fillagree drops instead... two of them. Background on this case is natural linen.
Night Owl Needle/Sewing Case and Matching Beaded Fob from Fern Ridge - click to see more Silken Threads Set from Fern Ridge - click to see more
  • Night Owl - The browns, greens and golds in this set are stunning. The case kit comes with a feather waxer, a wooden owl ruler lots of butter-scotchy beads, and luscious hand-dyed green silk ribbon - which is there to hold scissors. The case is lined with green calico fabric, pockets for those wood tools and waxer... lots of special stitches, and an awesome beaded edge to the case.
  • Silken Threads - No sewing case this time around - but a Pin Ball! The little tiny spider fob is actually a good beginning piece to do - it's about half the size of all the other fobs they do. The fringe is controllable ad colors are pretty. I can't tell you the spider charm is 'cute' because it looks real! The kitted matching pin ball is 1-1/2 inches in diameter. You are simply doing a thin band of Peyote - like the little Santa Claus bracelet they have - and then wrapping it around the ball! They've even attached the little bead/ball feet on there for you, so it won't roll away! Another 'real' spider charm on this one too!

  • Seasons of the Heart - Spring - There are four rabbits in here all tucked between the fresh spring flowers. Just a small design, it is coded for DMC and measures 101 x 80 - so 4 x 5 on 40ct over two.
  • Our Hearts Go Out - To Meet the Spring! A lot of hand-dyed thread variations in this piece... you can really see it in the border and bird colors. Finishing a generous 8 x 11 on 36ct, this is coded for DMC along with Jay Bird, Old Marigold, Magnolia Blossom, Steamed Broccoli and Bean Sprout!

Forest Friends Pincushion from Under the Garden Moon - click to see more This designer is good friends with the Thread Milk people, so we are storing this design on that page for now.
This is enchanting. It's a 6 x 6 x 2 hand-appliqued felt pin cushion decorated with charming animals, vines, and little spotted mushrooms! NOT cross stitch at all... this is for all of you that love cutting bitty pieces of wools and felts, and then adding bits of Crewel embroidery to embellish.

The pattern has actual sized templates for cutting and arranging. We bought her little material packet, so EVERYTHING is included in here. So yours WILL look like this - same colors and fabrics, etc. You can't see the edging or back in the pic, but that features red baby rik rak, and a darling red/white and aqua floral backing fabric. I'm a sucker for this kind of thing... I think it's Over the Moon - even though it's by Under the Garden Moon!

Half the Fun from Ink Circles - click to see more New Doors from Ink Circles - click to see more New Doors and Half the Fun... A couple of new designs from Ink Circles
  • Old Keys Won't Open New Doors - Ok, personally, I think old keys are charming - especially the ones Tracy has charted here, but I get the message behind this anyway! It's 'Get with the program - embrace and discover opportunity!' Actually kind of a fun piece, choose just about any fabric you want... add some gunmetally grey, bronze, gold or silver metallics (kind of in the vain of those new doors you should be opening), and get this stitched! Good loving advice from Mom. Measures 181 x 149 - so 11-1/2 x 9-1/2 on 32ct, this is coded for DMC or Classic Colorworks hand-dyed floss.
  • Half the Fun - Is getting there! This is cool. It's a medley of all the different modes you can use to travel! Most recognizable are the hot air balloons in the center - but look closer! You'll find airplanes, cars, rockets, a cable car, helicopter, donkey rickshaw, skateboard, uni-cycle, a fernacular, (I can't spell that, but it's a cable car that runs on a track up and down steep hills - we've been on the one in Budapest!), trains, ships, buses, sailboats, bicycles and a motorcycle. Wow, so much fun to remember your travels! I've been on a donkey in Santorini, in a rickshaw in Bejing... if you love to travel or know someone who does... this makes a perfect memory! Choose any fabric you like, this is done with one color of hand-dyed thread. Tracy says there are only 6173 stitches in here!

Across the Seasons with Autumn Lane Stitchery
  • Love Birds is for Valentines - and that's appropriate in every season! Pick a gorgeous red hand-dyed fabric, this is stitched using only white DMC. So pretty, it finishes almost 7 inches in size on 32ct.
  • Current Mood is cute. Stitched on any purple hand-dyed you like, this might be fun finished into a 4-sided standing cube! About 3-1/2 x 9 on 32ct... that cat just fits right in!
  • Lost Souls Cemetery - Another of Autumn Lane's signature spooky Halloween scenes, choose a pretty blue hand-dyed for this - just make sure your white ghosts will show up on it. No metallics called for, but wow - it'd be great in those golden eyes! Anyway, this finishes 10 x 14 on 14/28ct fabric and is stitched with black, white and 336, 823 and 825 blues. That whole light sky is the fabric! Doesn't it look like the bats are hanging clothes to dry up there on the branches?
  • Santa Claus is Coming To Town - a cool, retro-looking jolly old soul, Autumn Lane suggests any dark-ish blue fabric to represent the night sky. You could even add some wool threads to Santa or opalescent to the snow. Santa measures 7 inches when he's done on a 14/28 fabric, and right now, you have plenty of time to get this done before next Christmas!

Christmas Designs in April!
It's never too early to think about Christmas Stitching... and I didn't want these three to swept underneath the carpet during Spring Cleaning... so here they are!
  • Holly Jolly Buffalo - by Open Road Abode. This was Melody's annual ornament in the Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue last year. He's perfect for anyone who loves 'where the buffalo roam!' Stitched on white 14/28 (or anything else you like better), he finishes 3-1/2 inches. Presented as a single small card chart - the cover picture is nice enough to cut out and hang on the tree! (But stitch him instead!)
  • Winter Littles by Waxing Moon - This is a set of six small animals playing in the cold weather. Penguin skating, owl bundled against the wind, bird on a carrot nose, a fox that looks like a granny, a skiing lamb and finally a brown bear taking a break from shoveling. They all finish about 3-1/2 inches on 14/28.
  • Dreaming of Miss Claus - Another charming Dream-Girl by Barbara Ana! The 7th one! Miss Claus has gingerbread earrings, and on her white-as-snow billowing hair are mountains of chocolate and a peaceful, sleepy village. The stars are done with metallic gold. Her hair is worked with 3743 and 3865. Both colors look white, but contrast each other - they make that gorgeous geometric pattern in her hair. It looks so 3-dimensional. The chart is huge, and printed in full color... very easy to see and follow, and Miss Claus finishes a mere 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 on 32ct!
  • Christmas Claws by Salty Stitcher - Designer Kristi says: *Christmas Island's mass red crab migration is one of the mist incredible natural processes on Earth. Every year, millions of crabs merge from the forest on Christmas Island off the coast of Australia and Indonesia and make their way to the ocean to breed, swarming across roads, streams, rocks and beaches. The migration actually starts with the first rainfall of the wet season, usually in October or November.* What a fun thing to stitch! Measuring 100 x 100, it'll finish 5-1/2 inches on 18/36ct. Charted for 11 colors of DMC or Sulky thread - you can use some hand-dyeds in your water if you want to... and they suggest petite seed beads for all those crab eyes - if you aren't into French Knots!

Cardboard Milk Bottle Caps for Threads from Thread Milk Design Company
These are sets of 1-5/8 inch cardboards that feature antique-inspired artwork from old milk bottle caps. Each is drilled with two holes - one to attach to a ring, the other to tie your threads onto. (Picture those paper coasters they give you in English Pubs, and the beer coasters you get in bars - these are the same material.)

Something fun and colorful to dress your threads, they are super-cool tucked into sewing cases or decorating the zipper pull on a sewing pouch. They'd also be neat tucked between your stitched cushions in an old bowl, like the props used in The Bowl Series! Two different sets at the moment - The Ring set has 10 caps plus the charms and logo tag. The other set is simply 50 loose milk cap cards.

The Statehood Splendor Series from Thread Milk Design Company
These are educational! Of the 50 United States, we have 25 charted so far, and they are offered as individual state charts. Each design measures 50 x 50... you can stitch them on any fabric you want... even mix and match the colors if you like. Coded for DMC and hand-dyeds all 50 will use the same color palette. Thread Milk has researched every state, and included a lesson with each chart... then used that info to make different motifs for each state. The 13 colonies each feature a medallion on the lower right... some of the designs use a monochromatic hand-dye thread... they're all different but they go together!
Statehood Splendor Trayfull from Thread Milk Design Company
Not being designed in any particular order, we're not taking reservations for states not done yet, as the design plan is one state per week till the end of 2022. I think we are showing my pic I took at market of her collection so far... all the cushions are nestled in a big wooden table decor tray from Hobby Lobby - which will hold all 50 when the set (and YOU) are finished! Note: The charts have numbered the states - for example, Delaware is listed as #2, California is #9. That is just the order in which she designed them... NOT the order in which they became a state. Don't get confused by that!

New 2022 Premax Scissor Offerings New Scissor Offerings from Premax of Italy!
  • 3-1/2 Inch Black Ringlocks - Same lovely brushed finish as our stainless these are super sharp and offer larger finger holes than lots of other styles.
  • Red Silicone Serrated or Regular Embroidery - Just a nice, classic embroidery scissor - these feature a pretty translucent red silicone coating on the handles for a little softness. They are offered in a serrated style or regular. The serrated has minute little 'bumps' in the metal (think of a bread knife or hack-saw) - they feel different when you cut with them... the serrations 'grab' your threads a little - to keep them from sliding down the blades when you close the scissors to cut.
  • Red & Blue Tartan Plaid - 3-1/2 Inch classic style, the handles are decorated with an enameled plaid design - either a deep red or dusty blue!

A Tisket, Freedom, Crosshaven Sampler, Griffins of the Kingdom from Rosewood Manor!
Karen Kluba's imagination at work! All presented in leaflet format with lots of take-out bonus ideas...
  • A Tisket, A Tasket - A lovely blue and gray basket of flowers, this is stitched on Picture This Plus's Vellum hand-dyed fabric using Weeks Dye Works hand-dyed cottons. Grits, King Mackeral, Galvanized, Tin Roof, Porpoise, Fathom, Deep Sea, Blue Jeans and Jay Bird... the colors are so neat all together for this piece! 280 x 190... final size depends on fabric count - but on 36, it'll be a little over 15 x 10. You need mulitple skeins of each of the threads... but what a striking piece! But as always, Karen gives you lots of little take-outs from the larger design - pin cushions, needle cases - lots of stuff!
  • FREEDOM - When she designed this... she kind of had USA in mind, but then after the current world events... realized that Freedom is a goal everywhere... and not necessarily limited to red, white and blue! The main piece measures 181 in stitch count - so 10 x 10 on 18/36ct. She did use Weeks Merlot, Linen, and Fathom... the model is on Murky by Picture this Plus... but that can change too!
  • Crosshaven Sampler - This is a bright, sunny, summertime sampler. Several panels can be stitched individually, but all the yellows and greens are pretty together. Charted for DMC, it's generous in size - 189 x 317.
  • Griffins of the Kingdom - This companions Crown, Crosses and Keys of the Kingdom... stitched mostly in one color - with metallic accents. Karen has some Griffin trivia in here... one of which says that Griffins are hailed as the king of al creatures.. and they are the right personality for their title: noble, fearsome and above else protective. Stitch count on this is 184 x 187 - so 10 x 10 on 36ct. Lots of black on this and two different Petite Treasure Braids - the red and gold metallics!

When I Think of Gardening, Traveling and Stitching from PuntiniPuntini
Oh gosh, more of Paola's charming word designs! Each is her original design that doesn't REQUIRE any of her darling buttons or pins... but you're crazy if you do not take advantage and embellish with her many options!
  • When I Think of Gardening - Charted for DMC, on 36ct this finishes a teeny 3 x 7. The chart doesn't come with any buttons or pins but Paola has featured her new mini-set of garden pins on here - a watering can, radish and carrot - you can see them in he pic. She has several OTHER sets of buttons and pins that will work on this one too - just go browse in our area that shows what is available this season. DARLING miniature fruits, vegetables and flowers await you!
  • When I Think of Traveling - A suitcase, the Collesium, The Statue of Liberty, Big Ben, an Airplane, a camera - which is now almost an antique! - , and The Eiffel Tower. I can actually say I've been to all these places! No buttons with this one... I don't know why... but we'll work on her for something cute. We have metal charms, but that seems to break the rules since Paola is the QUEEN of gorgeous hand-made clay!
  • When I Think of Stitching - Super cute - EVERY Stitcher needs this little cushion! Stitched on (anything you want) 36ct with regular DMC, it measures just 3 x 6. The stitched floss, the sampler, the stack of fabric, the tomato cushion... it's all cute. The chart doesn't come with any of her buttons or pins, but you have a lot of options. Along with her yarn and sewing sets we already have, Paola has two small sets of pins for this one. Set one features a button, thimble and thread, while set two has the tomato instead of the button. You can't go wrong with either set!

  • Baby Boy or Girl WITH BINKY! from Just Another Button Company
Just Another Button Company designed this darling chart which comes with either a blue binky button and BOY letters, or a pink binky button and GIRL letters. Cecile does remind you that she used her grandchildren's coloring for these, but if you search 'DMC floss skin tones' online, they give you lots of options for diversity with skin and hair colors! So.. your little person can look just right! Use flosses from your stash, but buttons are included with the chart. The designs finish about 4 inches in size, unless you personalize with a name too. Cute as can be... I have a two-year-old binky-lover... and that thing comes out for peanut butter and other equally special things!
  • Ear-Resistible Rabbit from JABCO and Val's - This is a fun little piece... but you don't stitch the whole thing! Little Rabbit is printed on 18ct perforated paper... you stitch the black and white border and the green leafy vine. Thats it. The packet includes the rabbit printed on the new Mill Hill 18ct perforated paper, chart, buttons and pre-cut felt pieces. New Samplers from Shakespeare's Peddler
Shakespeare's Peddler has new Samplers! I do love her new covers she's done!
  • Two By Julia - A pair of samplers by two sisters... Theresa talks about how she found them and all the little quirky things in them that she loves! The one with the big house had the yard stitched entirely in Chain Stitch! (But you don't have to do that - thanks to Ms Theresa!) Anyway, two charming little samplers in here abut 9 x 9 each on 32ct. Teresa has new software and she's been busy taking glorious pictures, so these new books of hers are just lovely to page through! Presented in a leaflet format with fun musings by Theresa.
  • Cathcart Colquhoun 1785 - Theresa can't resist Eyelet alphabets - and just found this little sampler in December of 2021! She bought it, recharted it, and here it is - 3 months later! She loves the chunky people, and the fact that that little girl who stitched it - Cathcart - misspelled her name in it! 237 Years old, the original was done in wool thread. Re-charted for DMC, you can look at the Gentle Art Simply Wools for that wool alternative! Cathcart's sampler finishes 13 x 15 on 36ct. There is a bit of history in here, and after you read all of it, you're just in love with this fun little sampler! Again, a beautiful publication to page through and dream of projects still to be!
  • Jane Summer's Work 1831 This is a neat one. Theresa talks about all the favorite classic motifs in samplers - this one ticks all the boxes for her! Gorgeous pots and flowers, neat borders... this one is generous at 14 x 16 on 32ct. Which - - she says - - is a 'good size' for a girl her age when she did it 200 years ago! Huge chart, fun info inside about the piece!
  • Throw Wide the Windows is simply the small take-out of the house from the larger Jane Summer piece. If you like just that and don't want the stress of the whole larger chart staring at you - get the little version! I like the dark band above the house, and I think it'd be pretty repeated below too. Charted for hand-dyeds or DMC, this finishes just 6 x 11 on 18/36ct.
  • Antique Cats & Crowns - This is the 6th in Theresa's set of little 'Antique Things' collection! We have keys, teacups, rabbits and baskets, scissors and birds - and they are a lovely set of cushioned designs. Grab any fabric in your stash you like - find a color of thread that goes with it... each of these is adorned with a bit of antique lace - which is always fun to find at a flea market! Presented in a small chart format. There is a pic on the back cover of the rest of companion designs - as a treat!

  • Stitch All The Things - Just a reminder of how fortunate we are to have so much FUN STUFF to stitch! Linda has decorated this with antique buttons (you probably have some favorite buttons in your stash) and trimmed both pieces with Lady Dot's Vintage Ruler Twill Tape. The chart comes with some hand-dyed buttons by Just Another Button Company.
  • English Sampler Berries - More strawberry cushions - these feature bands taken from English samplers. All three designs are included in the chart... you can use any neutral linen... and mix and match the wool bits on the toppers when you finish them.
  • Liberty Games - This is a fun piece... a 7-1/2 x 11 patriotic crossword puzzle! Just like Reindeer Games, Linda has nestled words together and inter-mingled all sorts of tiny motifs in the quirky leftover spaces. She has included 2 smaller designs in here - one for a berry cushion and another is a drum stand-up. Stitched with a mixture of Weeks and DMC flosses, 36ct Vellum is the featured fabric in the model pic.
  • Chocolate or Coffee? Duh, BOTH! Kind of hard to tell in the picture, but there are 4 designs in this pack... two berries, 2 squares. They are all stitched with just Weeks Chestnut and Tatanka hand-dyed floss and trimmed with Weeks wool and Lady Dot trims.

Fun Shepherd's-Bushy-Personality in all of Tina and Teri's new things! Summer will be here before we know it, and you'll be ready.
  • To Be Free - Celebrate Summer with this sweet sampler. Stitched on 32ct hand-dyed linen (I bet Teri dyed it!) with a combination of hand-dyed flosses, it comes with a smattering of small buttons. A billowing border, the happy little sheep grazing on the hill... life is pretty good! Complete kit, I imagine this to finish about 5 x 8.
  • Liberty Needle Case - Long may our land be bright with Freedom's holy light. This is a fold-over design stitched on 32ct with hand-dyed cotton flosses. Again a tiny button embellishment, the design has the tiny village on one side and the verse on the other. You can always 'cushion' both sides if you want... but you do get that fun red flag fabric you see in the pic and the felt lining and star... just not the scissors! The Lady Dot hand-dyed rik rak is also special and included!
  • Liberty Ewe - The annual little EWE doing his thing... this little guy appears in Halloween, Spring, Winter and Christmas designs - he's always dressed in a different festive hat that is really a hand-made clay button! Joining the rest of the flock is Mr Liberty Ewe. Above the tiny village, and below the proud flag, this year's hat is red and white striped! Complete kit includes the 20ct linen, all the threads, ribbon trim for the edge, and that glorious button!
  • Flag Day - A cute pin cushion - just 2-1/2 x 4 - for a limited time (NOW!) it comes packed in a little top-hinged tin box. Mount the finished piece on top of the box or cushion it... whatever. A fat little blackbird is perched atop his favorite sheep - who is wearing HIS favorite striped hat!

Alphabets by Romy - Halloween and Christmas from Romy's Creations - All the way from Italy!
The Christmas Alphabet - This is the first half of the alphabet stitched into pin cushions or ornaments - one for every letter. By Romy's Creations, they come two letters to a chart pack... and so far we have A through L! Super cute... you can peruse the set so far, and see of you want just some or all of them. Romy is from Austria... and she does her own line of hand-dyed flosses, so we'll have those available for this Christmas set for a limited time. The charts are coded for DMC as well. Each letter finishes about 3 x 3... and you should invest in about a half yard of fabric to make sure they match. We have an auto-ship for he remaining letters ... check out that option, too.

We have her threads for Halloween as well. I love that little Voodoo doll!
To My Friend Pinkeep Stack from Stacy Nash -- click to see more Strawberry Pinkeep and Scissor Fob from Stacy Nash -- click to see more Jane Lefurgy Thread Keep & Hoop Sewing Bag from Stacy Nash -- click to see more Merry Merry Pinkeep from Stacy Nash -- click to see more
Stacy Nash has several New Releases!
  • To My Friend Pinkeep Stack - Dedicated to Barb Adams - A set of 4 small pin cushion designs all in a neat stack. Worked on 36ct hand-dyed with weeks flosses, Stacy added a spool of thread and scissors on one and blackbirds and strawberries on another. I believe the scissor charm is included with the chart.
  • Strawberry Pinkeep and Scissor Fob - Another berry basket design, this one has a matching smaller fob - 40ct Havana Linen, more Weeks flosses. One of Stacy's strawberry waxers is featured in the photo - and is available separately. Again, the tiny scissor charm is included with the chart.
  • Jane Lefurgy Thread Keep & Hoop Sewing Bag - A little larger of a sewing case, it is a sampler reproduction Stacy has done, and rather than frame it, she's made it into a larger envelope to store something larger - like your hoops! On 40ct, the case finishes 7 x 9... can't wait to see this one stitched and finished.
  • Merry Merry Pinkeep - Oh a charming larger cushion - it measures almost 8 inches square! Decorated with a festive greenery border along the top, the grand house, prancing deer and finally the peaceful snowy evergreen scene along the bottom, it's stitched with regular DMC floss! 36 Patriot's Brew - Natural or some of the 'sampler colors' of hand-dyed linens will all work for this.

New Releases from Heartstring Samplery Heartstring's Samplery's Beth Twist
  • Bee Still My Heart - This is the release of our project that Beth did for us at our Summer 2020 retreat! SO pretty, she made a sewing roll decorated with Quaker motifs and floral sampler motifs... all with a bee theme. Picture This Plus Legacy Linen, Weeks flosses, the colors are pretty - Havana, Lancaster Red, Oscar, Red Pear, Twilight and Whiskey. The case has a matching strawberry cushion by Erica Michaels - which was also part of our retreat. (See that matching design on our Erica Michaels page.) Beth's design is presented in chart format.
  • Really Friends - Another release of a previous exclusive design, inspired by Jane Austin - it measures approx 7-1/2 x 11 on 32ct. The bottom band looks really charming with the castle and carriage on it, but we'll know more when the patterns are in our hands! Available in a chart format.
  • Mercy Megginson 1849 - Beth describes this as a 'bright and cheerful' piece: Mercy was 11 when she stitched it, and it finishes approx 10 x 12 on 32ct. Chart includes lots of genealogical research into her life story - which always makes the stitch more fun and the finished piece more special. Weeks and Classic Flosses, 32ct Fox and Rabbit Hogbristle.
  • Five Songbirds - An adaptation of part of Mercy Megginson's sampler- I see Adam and Eve on there, so I think it's part of the bottom area. Good colors, cute trims... Same fabric as the main sampler.
  • Festive Little Fobs Travel Edition - Beth has 12 other Festive Fob collections - they are the CUTEST things! Travel joins the collection with a dozen tiny designs suitable for small fobs, cushions, needlecase decorations, whatever! I can't see them all in here, but I see sunglasses, palm trees, an airplane and I think The Collesieum, so it will prove fun to use for vacation momentos!
  • Small Samplings - This is a full-sized multi-page book featuring 5 small samplers and 3 pincushions - all being Beth's reproductions of antiques in her personal sampler collection. Full color photos, clear charts, all the fabrics and counts, as well as threads vary throughout, it looks pretty good! This is a limited Market release book - probably not generally released till May.

Needfuls, Colonial Blooms, Philadelphia Vine and Schoolgirl Samplings from The Scarlett House
Scarlett House's new offerings are here... click the pics to see more as well. As always, Tanya's charts are beautifully presented in chart format.
  • Needfuls - A charming collection of cushioned designs - each one measures 100 x 100 in stitch count. Tanya has a coverlet-inspired piece, a quilt, a cushion to feature your favorite old buttons, an English sampler alphabet, and finally the one in the forefront - with all the fun antique tools pictured! It's easy to miss the stitched tape measure and spool borders on there. All are stitched with Classic's hand-dyed flosses. The chart pack includes all 5 designs.
  • Colonial Blooms - LOVE this... two different fabric options are presented, and believe it or not, both are stitched using the same colors! (except that Collards is used in the lighter version only.) Luscious blooms spilling everywhere!
  • Philadelphia Vine 1755 Sampler - We don't have much info on this one yet... but it finishes 10 x 15 on 40ct... it looks very English to me - all the traditional colors, borders and motif shapes... and it has a very good and sound verse!
  • Schoolgirl Samplings - A nice trio of cushions - kind of reminds me that pieces in a set CAN be done on different fabrics and still compliment each other. You could do your initials and age and date on one... and do them for all the past stitchers in your family - or just USE your family names so you don't have random, strange names peeking out of your filled bowl of cushions! Really a pretty idea... and HERE is something to use one of your grandmother's silver trays for - don't the creams and reds look good against that tarnished patina?

The Rabbit & The Rose, Keeper of the Pins, and Seasons of the Heart from With Thy Needle & Thread
  • The Rabbit & The Rose is a charming little pin cushion done with DMC floss. Brenda has a few Smryna Crosses in here and she's stitched her bunny tail with Rainbow Gallery's Wisper thread - for a little fluff! Finishes approx 3-1/2 x 5 on 40ct - so a 'hare' larger on 36 or 32! Presented as a chartpack.
  • Keeper of the Pins - This is one of Brenda's 'medium' leaflets - like Jelly Bean Jubilee and Snowball. It features a collection of pin cushions for the needleworker at heart. Cute new designs to companion 'I Collect' and 'Queen of the Needle'... there is a tomato pin cushion in here, an antique sewing bird, and fun button 'card.' A fat quarter of 36ct Country Vintage Mocha will do everything.... (probably 32 would work as well). All sweet pieces, everything finishes into a small pin cushion size. Gather some fun trims and a pretty display bowl and you're all set!
  • Seasons of the Heart - All 4 of these designs are presented in the pattern booklet - along with numerous and varied artwork prints of the little seasonal tags you see on the stitched cushions. Do your fun stitching on 40 or 36ct using all the brands of hand-dyed cottons. Then, follow the instructions in the booklet - she uses rubber cement, and tells you how to create your little tags! Really sweet designs, each finishes the same size - I think about 4 x 5.

We're excited to bring home our Treasures by Samplers Not Forgotten!
  • Peony Bouquet is Kimberly's Market Exclusive Limited Edition design this year. Presented in fully-kitted format. Stitched on 36ct hand-dyed linen, it features a very soft vase of lavish blooms - all stitched with soft, dusty colors. Kimberly has included antiqued lace trim, coordinating backing fabric and hand-dyed velveteen to make the scissor pocket she shows on the pattern. A very pretty little cushion, it'll finish approx 4 x 5.
  • Dutch Rose Kit - another beautiful little floral cushion design. Again stitched on 36ct hand-dyed linen, this one includes the charm, silk ribbon and hand-made antique lace trim. A little smaller than Peony at 3 x 4-ish.
  • Patriotic Heart Kit - A softer take on stars and stripes, this complete kit offers you 36ct hand-dyed linen (I think it's putty - but not sure.) The coordinating hand-dyed ribbon and ball trim to match the threads.
  • Memories - Kimberly did a fun beach-y thing... Memories features three different framing borders of waves, crabs, seahorses, seaweed and tiny swimming fish. 'Our memories of the ocean will linger on long after our footprints in the sand are gone.' The beach chair is neat - there is a whole little scene along the bottom. Stitched on Weeks Dye Works 36ct Confederate Gray hand-dyed linen using Weeks cottons, this will finish about 8 x 10. We have BEAUTIFUL pin and button options by Puntini - little sand dollars and lighthouses... all sorts of cute mini things - I think they would be great together with this design!
  • Dutch Rose Garden Sampler 1849 - Wow, look at these gorgeous motifs scattered about in this! Stitched on Weeks 36ct Parchment Linen with multiple skeins of 17 shades of Weeks hand-dyed flosses, this will finish about 14-1/2 x 15-1/2. If you don't think you're up to a larger piece like this - DO THOSE MOTIFS as individual cushions! What a gorgeous set of smalls to nestle in a bowl... use Kimberly's finishing ideas from the rest of her cushions as inspiration for yours. This is just an exquistite piece - presented in chart format.
Vintage Acorns from Jeannette Douglas Acorn Tray Set from Jeannette Douglas Matter in Hand from Jeannette Douglas Quaker Star Delight from Jeannette Douglas
New Arrivals from Jeannette Douglas
Jeannette has 6 new releases that came home with us from Market. All available as leaflets this time around... most are coded for DMC's and hand-dyeds... here we go!
  • Vintage Acorns - This is the 5th in the Vintage Series, roughly the same size as the rest (Flowers, Birds, Stars and Animals). It is a lovely medley of all things ACORN! Finishing only 7 x 8 on 40ct... you can choose just about any neutral fabric for this and enjoy stitching with the hand-dyeds from Weeks, Gentle Art and Classic.
  • Acorn Tray Set - What a fun combo of designs matching the Stitch Tray, and Flower Tray. The plump drum-shaped pin cushion features a large acorn with specialty stitches to accent the tiny band sampler inside the tray. Then, add the teeny scissor fob, and you have a three-piece set of smalls. All feature trim by Lady Dot, and since Jeannette has chosen lots of luscious hand-dyed silks for this - there is a thread pack available as well.
  • Matter in Hand - This charming sampler (139 X 164) says CROSS STITCH in 8 languages! Jeannette knows we love to hold 'matter in hand' - our needle in one hand and linen in the other. Just like her Christmas and Halloween samplers, she has Cross Stitch spelled in French, Spanish, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Chinese and Russian... because she knows that needlework crosses all language barriers for sure! Stitched with hand-dyed cottons, or her DMC conversion.
  • Quaker Star Delight - A charming splash of little Quaker Stars cover both the mattress and drum cushions in this set of smalls. Stitched with Weeks and Classic hand-dyed flosses, they feature Lady Dot velveteen and chenille, and Jeannette does include those micro-buttons featured on the mattress with her leaflet.

TONS of NEW from Teresa Kogut - I can't believe all that she came out with (I counted at least 30!) - and I have no idea how you can get it all stitched in a lifetime! However, I am here to remind you that Cross Stitchers don't have to stitch EVERYTHING in their stash... half the fun is appreciation of all the cool stuff out there!
Introduce me to a fix-it guy who has used all his screws or a golfer who has hit all his golf balls... or a photographer who has taken all the pictures he ever will... and we'll be even! Meanwhile ENJOY Teresa's talents! She has several books with multiple designs in each!

This is a pair of stitched needle cases that features the front of the cat or dog on the front, and their backside on its backside. Then, open your stitched case to find little mice stitched on the inside 'endpapers' of Katherine's, and little dog bones inside of Perceval's.

Too darn cute! Worked on 32ct Flax linen with good old DMC floss, they measure 6 x 4 when open - so a mere 3 x 4 when closed. What a fun place to use a cute animal charm or button if you have one.

Spring Forest Scrapbook from Lindy Stitches and The Blue Flower
This is a collaboration design between Blue Flower Designs and Lindy Stitches. You might remember their Saltwater Scrapbook piece last year... this year's is bursting with the new spring animals in the forest. Presented in two charts (each is available separately, so you will need to order both to get all 9 panels) - Jeannine from Blue Flower has contributed the snail delivering spring blooms, racoons under their umbrellas, a lazy bear, and pair of sleeping foxes. Stephanie from LS did the deer, that awesome grasshopper tipping his hat to the ladybug, the birds, bees and butterflies, and finally those darling hedgehogs.

You can stitch each of these 3 x 3 (61 x 61) pieces individually, or join them together... depends on your finishing talents! Choose a pretty light blue fabric, a fat quarter will do all either framed or singly. All are stitched with various hand-dyeds and coded for DMC as well. I just love the different animals, and all the pretty colors - such a refreshing collection of charm!

Adorn Your Heart from Plum Street Samplers Thistle House from Plum Street Samplers My Garden House from Plum Street Samplers Corgi Caboodle from Plum Street Samplers God Bless America from Plum Street Samplers This is the Day from Plum Street Samplers
New Designs from Plum Street Samplers
Paulette has 6 new things... all chart format... here we go!
  • Adorn Your Heart - Paulette's favorite part of this one is the pink cow! 'Adorn your heart, adorn your mind with knowledge of the sweetest kind.' This finishes apporx 9 x 12 on 36ct.
  • Thistle House - Finishes 5 x 7... the repeating shapes of the thistles and leaves on here is really pleasing. Paulette says the color palette is of soft sage, gray, pink and white... hard to see in the pic.
  • My Garden House - An absolutely beautiful bouquet of flowers beside a crisp white house... this can be 'drummed' like in the pic, or framed. Stitched with Weeks and DMC, it measures about 10 x 3 - which is why it's perfect for that little drum shape!
  • Corgi Caboodle - Oh my gosh, the next little family stack... these all finish the same size and look great together. Pretty pink flowers and plump Corgi pups. Paulette says there might be more doggy sets coming!
  • God Bless America - This features a bald eagle in her nest perched atop a grand house. (There is a roof on there - just too light in the picture.) The house number is 1776 and there are 13 stars long-stitched under the roofline... and the colors are delicious. I love the festoon border! Finishes approx 9 x 10 on 36ct.
  • This is the Day - The Market Exclusive this year this features one of Paulette's favorite verses... but she says it'd be pretty even if you left off the words. There is a mountain goat leaping over that lavish potted plant potted plant. I guess he's rejoicing and being glad with his day - in his yard - at home! Finishes about 9 x 11 on 36ct... she's tucked some bright colors into that little sun - kind of thinking outside her design-box!

A Snowman's Christmas & Holly Jolly Stacker from Praiseworthy Stitches
Pam and Susan of Praiseworthy Stitches have debuted their two new Christmas designs for this upcoming year - their annual Christmas Village Scene and another Stacker piece - just like Creepy Pumpkin Stackers! Both are presented in chart format.
  • A Snowman's Christmas joins the super-charming set of bustling Christmas Town Square pieces - like Churchyard Christmas and Winter at Sugar Hill. Lots of quaint houses and bitty scenes with children and animals everywhere, this year we have a very festive snowman by the village ice rink. The evergreen trees this year are see-thru! Look how they charted them - lots of repeating lines. Lots of design texture there - really pretty. You can see through those thin branches, and it just makes everything more shivery cold and snowy!
You'll need a fat quarter cut of Picture This Plus's hand-dyed linen... our shop models work on about 10 different shades they make... you just want that varigation in the background to simulate the cloudy, wintery sky. Touches of metallics here and there... this whole set of Christmas Scenes, Santa's Midnight Ride and Going To Grandma's are ALL cute!
  • Holly Jolly Stacker is a fun way to choose three different fabrics that you like that go together. Pam and Susan are painting antique wooden spools green - that is your 'tree trunk' - and have included them with the chart. I can't tell yet what the fabric colors are in this yet... but we improvised a lot with Creepy Pumpkins, so I imagine we'll have options here too. Just choose three fabrics that are the same count, and the same 'feel' - soft or stiff, and your stitched tree with be darling!

The Market people have compiled these for three years of shows now (but we didn't get one last year because we didn't have an in-person show). If you're a recipe collector (or actual user!) it's cool because recipes in here come from some of the European gals as well as all different areas of the US. (So, like the recipes from the Italy girls are really authentic Italian recipes!)

It's only $8 and a fun gift for your stitch group stitchers! We bring them home from the Show. Our first batch completely sold out, but more are coming!.
