So... you might like that feature better than inches anyway!!! Something pretty and fun for your stitching bag or a dressing inside a fun sewing case! Choose from Kitty or Filigree -- they are decorated on both sides, as well! Our pics don't show it well, but these are very shiny!

The charts will be cute finished like little easel stand-ups like in the pic -- if you are short on stitching time to make them all into one larger piece. We'll do a monthly chart automatic-ship beginning in October; large fabric cut and threads are optional!

All of the usual Halloween suspects turn out to watch on this moonlit cube: a wide-eyed owl, bats and cats, Mr bones in a witch hat, a ghost lingering in a tree, grinning jack-o-lanterns, spooky spiders and 2 little mice wearing their witch hats.

Harvest Hoots Needle Slide from Just Nan Presented as a chart with embellishments and finishing instructions. Embellishments include midnight hex beads to dance around the base, a black satin witch on her broom that you attach to the moon, and 4 orange crystal beads to decorate the tops of the side seams. Push Light Magnifier
Oh this is cool and very handy little thing! This is a LED-lighted personal magnifier. Simply press down on the metal rim, and inside... it lights up... to magnify your viewing field 5 times the size! PERFECT to see needlework stitches, fabric threads, needlepoint stitch details, a stubborn knot... your instructions, a needle's eye, a sliver... ANYTHING you can't see right now! It is designed to sit on top of your project or paper, but you can hold it in your hand as well.

REALLY REALLY NICE! It comes with a very stiff microfibre zip-closure protective carrying case, and a microfibre lens cleaning cloth (because my hubby turned mine off by pressing on the lens instead of the ring and leaving a nice big fingerprint!). It automatically turns off after 10 minutes in case you forgot about it... it's just the most wonderful thing for seeing stitch detail! Weighing less than 8 ounces, it measures 3-1/2 inches in diameter and stands1-3/4 inches tall.

Thanksgiving Sampler from The Victoria Sampler - click for more
Thanksgiving Sampler
from The Victoria Sampler
Victoria Sampler has a new piece that celebrates Thanksgiving. A pair of gorgeous motifs -- the turkey and cornucopia both stitched over one thread -- are stunning. The basket at the top of the piece is nothing to ignore either! *The year has turned it's circle, the seasons come and go. The harvest all is gathered in and chilly north winds blow. Orchards have shared their treasures, the fields their yellow strain. So open wide the doorway Thanksgiving comes again.*

Finishing 4-1/2 x 14 on 28ct Clay linen, this is loaded with specialty stitches all worked with numerous solid and hand-dyed silks and garnished with cream and gold glass beads. They have beautiful stitch diagrams and charts in here, along with some great close-up stitching pics... stitch just a few parts or the entire sampler.

Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter -- 4 New Charts from Teresa Kogut
  • Two Lamb's Tails -- This is stitched on Week's Dye Works Tin Roof Linen. It is completely covered, so you can probably get away with changing fabrics if you desire -- as none of it will show anyway! With a solid stitch count of 200 x 104, this will finish a generous 12-1/2 x 6-1/2 on 32ct. The background is all Swamp Water... the sheep are Oak, and the flowers are Red Rocls. Gorgeous colors... just lots of stitches!!!
  • American Primitives -- This is a fun design to celebrate Summertime... Uncle Sam in his finery, another piece that is entirely covered in stitching... another chance to change your fabric 'safely' if you want! Finishing approx 5 x 7 on 35ct, beautiful colors of DMC and Weeks.
  • Harvest at the Mill -- Coming into Fall and the sunflowers, this is stitched on Weeks Parchment linen with Weeks and DMC floss. Finishing approx 5-1/2 x 8 on 35ct. the fabric comes in many sizes, so you have options. I love the flowers -- they'd make pretty pin cushions!
  • Season's Greetings -- A warming Winter Greeting... only there's no snow yet!!!! I think you need to 'frost' the trees and grass with a little white stitching... otherwise this snowman greeter won't stay happy for very long! Finishes approx 11-1/2 x 4-1/2 on 35ct... Teresa chose Cornsilk-colored Weeks linen which has a yellow-green cast to it. It all has a retro-vintage feel to it... so I am not sure you'd want to change that part to a winter gray... the colors are pretty the way they are!

CS242 The Cat & the Moon from With Thy Needle & Thread - click for more They're here! They are all charts... here's the scoop!!!!
  • Basketful of Autumn Time -- This is the 3rd of a 4-part series. 93 x 83 In stitch count, preferred fabric is Summer Khaki, which comes in lots of different counts. There are a few over-one stitches in the Jack-o-lantern faces, and all is worked with hand-dyeds. No houses in the basket this time around... just that pile of pumpkins!
  • Bittersweet & Broomsticks -- 115 x 90, Super-cute! The golden color of the fabric highlights the flosses nicely on this... but something mangy and gray might be fun too!
  • Autumn in Baltimore -- The 3rd in this series, this time, you are seeing it stitched over one thread on 28ct Mushroom Lugana. Pin cushion, basket wrapper and even a little wool pumpkin, this all fits into a 5 x 3-1/2 x 2 oval paper mache box! Lots of stitching options with this one, each of the quilt motifs would make pretty little cushions and smalls...
  • The Cat & the Moon -- The 3rd small peat pot design, this makes a cute 52 x 53 pin cushion if you don't want the pot and ruffle finishing option. Notice how she's stitched the cat's face vertically so the thread variations are not horizontal??? I think it makes him look more 'vintage.'

Painted Threads, Growing Love & Common Thread Stitcher's Mat from Threadwork Primitives
Here are three designs by Threadwork Primitives that are not new... but we have finally organized them together for you! All presented as charts, everything uses hand-dyed flosses and various neutral shades of hand-dyed linens.
  • Painted Threads finishes 7 x 4-1/4 on 36ct. Just 7 colors on here... really sweet. The center floral urn would make a stunning pin cushion -- it's only 40 x 40!
  • Growing Love finishes 6 x 8. Inspired by an antique oval needlebook, the design shape lends itself to that treatment -- pretty and unique.
  • Common Thread Stitcher's Mat is a really neat finishing idea. A petite 6-1/2 x 9, what a fun place to park you needles and place your scissors. Finish it with antique fabric on the back, and roll it up... can you see the velvet pin cushion in the pic? Tuck that inside, wrap the stitching around it, and tie it all closed with that gorgeous rayon ribbon! (Lady Dot dyes gorgeous velveteen... and Shepherd's Bush hand-dyes ribbon like this.... choose a piece of velvet and a length of ribbon, and match your mat fabric and threads to it! YUM!)

Santa Claus Lane from Praiseworthy Stitches
Praiseworthy Stitches has done a half-sized Christmas Scene, and finished it into a drum-shape just for fun! Measuring less than half the size of their huge Christmas Scenes, this finishes 14-1/2 x 4-1/2 on 32ct. You can frame it, or roll it into the round shape and make a 4 x 6 giant pin cushion! Stitched with hand-dyed or DMC flosses, it is super-cute! Santa is flying through they sky behind his team of reindeer... so those little ones down below better get home to bed soon!!!! He's on his way!

Presented as the chart, the JABCO button embellishments are offered separately -- HOWEVER -- it is confusing. The button pack contains the snowmen, moon and star for the framed piece as well as the Santa face button you see on top of the drum. THEN, when they sent us the model, they had a set of JABCO Pin Mini's stuck in the top of the drum -- and they are a miniature matching Santa face, peppermint and holly leaf. You'll need the *pins* only if you finish this into the drum shape. For a limited time, we have a few finishing kits that contain their red finishing fabric, cord, finishing buttons and stiffener.

Stage Fright from Threads That Bind -- click to see lots more Joyous Offering from Threads That Bind -- click to see lots more Bee Grateful from Threads That Bind -- click to see lots more
Three New Punch Needle Designs from Threads That Bind
Punch Needle is totally different than Cross Stitch... it produces pieces that look like miniature hooked rugs. We have an in-shop demo gal, but U-Tube can also offer good instruction for this. Designs are printed as line drawing on Weaver's cloth -- a muslin that has synthetic in it for strength. You need a super-tight-holding hoop (which we have) and the special needles (which we also have), and all you do is poke the needle up and down into your fabric to make the bitty loops of thread.

Threads That Bind has tons of charming designs... these are three of her newest! Stage Fright finishes approx 5-1/2 x 5-1/2, Joyous Offering is 5-1/4 x 5-3/4, and Bee Grateful is 6 x 9.

  • Then as quick as St Nick appeared, he could be seen flying away saying To All a Good Night!

Bohin SN29 Gold Preemie
2-5/8 Preemie Scissors by Bohin
Directly from France, we have these delightful little shiny gold scissors that are a teeny 2-5/8 inch in size. A petite size, these have a fairly sharp point, and I think a very slightly serrated blade. Serration -- that is the texturing on the blades -- like a ripply tomato or steak knife. It holds your thread in place better so when you cut; it's clean. (Your thread hasn't slid on the scissor blade and given you a frayed cut.)

The gold on these looks elegant... they are NOT a 'cheapie looking' pair of scissors!!! Very Nice!

Headmistress Samplers from Cross Stitch Antiques
These are two different sampler reproductions by Kathleen Littleton of Cross Stitch Antiques. (A very accomplished needle artist... between raising her 14 children, earning a law degree, and Masters degree in Theology, she designs samplers and runs an 1870's authentic general store in her hometown of Frankfort IL.) Presented in leaflet format, they are BEAUTIFUL! Coded for DMC floss, the colors you see on the covers and on the original samplers look alike -- nothing has faded in her originals -- and she has kept the pretty colors in her reproductions.
  • Antique Sampler Fragment 1834 -- Finishes approx 5 x 11 on 36ct. Since it is an actual fragment of the original piece, do you have the nerve to distress your linen like this?!
  • Band of Roses 1845 -- Finishes approx 17 inches square on 32ct. The florals in this are stunning!!! Think about little pin cushions -- maybe then you can stitch a little of this and pretend you can get the whole thing finished!!!!

These are the favorite 5 x 5 designs stitched with DMC and beads on 14ct perforated paper. We stitch our shop models on 14/28ct fabric instead... but either way these are fun to work up, and super on eye-appeal! Complete kits contain the chart, paper, flosses, beads and a button.

Merry Little Christmas and Brightly Shining are a pair -- hang them side by side. Penguin friends are decorating their igloo... I LOVE that cabin-in-the-woods -- complete with happy snowman in the yard, and the ornament trio is glisteny and elegant. The Cobbler Shop is this year's installment to Mill Hill's village series, and it's cute.

Introducing Daisy Mouse on her Summer Mouse Garden Scissor Roll! from Just Nan
Daisy Mouse on her Summer Mouse Garden Scissor Roll from Just Nan Just Nan is announcing a new set of designs -- a series of scissor rolls called Mouse on a Roll -- and Daisy Mouse is the first!!!! Shipping the first week of June (that's like 3 weeks from now!), Daisy (approx 1-inch in size) is stitched on Weeks Dye Works 32ct Blush Linen. She is guardian of her Garden Roll (approx 10 inches long but only 2 inches high when rolled) that is stitched on Weeks 32ct Lilac Linen with DMC floss.

Darling, darling, darling, Daisy's garden scenes decorate the outside of her roll. There is a birdhouse scene surrounded by lavender flowers. Another scene features a hanging flower basket above her koi pond. There are sunflowers around a shiny glass gazing ball, and a blue pottery pot beneath her rose trellis. Tiny daisy chains separate the scenes which are grounded with bargello grass patterns. The scenes are embellished with white and lavender pearls and a gold lotus flower closure.

Inside, Nan says, 4 little helper mice are scurrying along the garden path to the scissor house -- a padded pocket for your 3-1/2 or 4-inch embroidery scissors. *Follow a mouse to the scissor house*! Daisy is adorned with flowers and a white daisy hat, she has a wired tail and is holding a miniature skein of floss!!!!!

Pattern comes with all the necessary embellishments -- overdyed sage green wool, her wired string tail, antique brass button mouse base, flower hat, beads, pearls and gold lotus bead -- along with the 8-page stitch guide with full assembly instructions. Fabrics and DMC offered separately.
WE WILL OFFER AN AUTO-SHIP for the rest of the Scissor Roll Houses in this series -- they will all release in 2019.

Miss Lucy Calcutt 1825
from Just Stitching Along
This is a STUNNING reproduction of a sampler stitched in 1825. Finishing approx 15 x 22 on 36ct, the chart is coded for DMC or silk threads. The colors in this are beautiful!!!! Rich reds and greens, the border is pretty and balanced.

All the interior pots and vines are organized and all lined up neatly. The red house anchors everything down at the bottom... and notice how those motifs are centered above it?

The Annual Set of Fall Button & Bead Kits from Mill Hill
Here is this year's set of these charming 5 x 5 beaded and stitched designs! This year, we have some different designs... the Wanda'a Wands shop features glow-in-the-dark thread! All presented as complete kits of chart, DMC flosses, needles, Mill Hill glass beads and a button for garnish, along with a cut of 14ct perforated paper.

We love to stitch these on either 28ct linen or 14ct aida and then stuff them into little hanging pillow, but they are also REALLY nice simply stitched on the paper and framed. (Mill Hill frames specified on the back of the kits can be special ordered... but we've seen some custom framed and they are drop-dead gorgeous!)

Memories of Camping from Open Road Abode Needleworks
We have found a delightful set of 24 cute and easy designs all centered around camping, trailers and little *Canned Hams!* Tucked at the Cabin, Camping under the fireworks on the 4th, or Doing the National Parks, Open Road Abode Style. We have several chart options in this series of "Post Card Patterns."

Fun remembrances of summer and family vacations... with a 'retro flair!' All can be worked on any fabrics and although they all call for one color, you can choose another or use several. They are cute as can be!
Here we go... click the pics to see them all! Some are presented as individual charts, others are grouped together -- 4 designs in one set.

(NOTE: Not all of the charts are named(!) or numbered(!) so I had to kind of make up names to tell hem apart. Chart #1801 has a truck in it, but campers as well, so we chose the word TRUCK to identify it from the others.)

The Hocus Pocus Hats! from Blackberry Lane
WOW... talk about a gorgeous and detailed set of pattens!!!! Marie Driskill has designed 4 *faces wearing hats.* Each is Halloween-themed, and TWO-SIDED. Her exquisite shading talents are showcased in all of them... they are STUNNING! Choose to stitch them individually and frame them flat or finish into 8 ornaments... OR make them into little miniature linen hats! She has the templates and instructions included for finishing options. Hocus Pocus black display clamp holding up the hat model from Blackberry Lane

Stitched on Weeks 32ct Confederate Gray, Pumpkin or Peoria Purple Linens, using about 15 different shades of DMC floss (which for Marie, is not a lot!), each face finishes approx 2-3/4 x 3-1/2. Just bitty things, but her charts are nice and large and clear!
You can see the black display clamp in the pics holding up the hats... those are hand-made by Heart's Content's husband... so they are kind of special too! (They're on order, expected soon) Six-inch black iron twisting table clamps!

Get these patterns FIRST before you decide on fabrics and various JABCO embellishments, finishing wools, beads and perle cottons -- there are lots of choices here -- and you need to study them first. (You don't necessarily need all the add-ons) Here are the names for each -- remember, each chart features a front AND back design!
  • Hocus Pocus I (179) -- *Oops ah' Ribbit* features a bright lime-green toad with a pretty purple spotted hat. (This pattern has a charming original poem by Marie about a witch named Theodora who accidentally turned herself into that toad!)
  • Hocus Pocus II (180) -- *Whooo's a Goood Kitty* is a fierce-looking little black cat under a birght orange spotted hat.
  • Hocus Pocus III (181) -- *Sooo Boo-t-ful* This one is a lighted smiling jack-o-lantern with a black hat in top of him -- complete with a sliver of the moon.
  • Hocus Pocus IV (182) -- *Whooo's Scarrred* -- It's a very intent and focused owl with a beautifully patterned hat design.

Relaxing at the Beach and Gingerbread Camper
I don't know which one I'd like to live in more... I guess one could do BOTH! Marie Driskill has a pair of darling camper designs -- each finishing approx 2-1/2 x 5 on 16/32ct. She has a couple of small design variations in each of them... buttons or not, flags or directional signs on the beach one, words vs no words.

Get the charts, then study your design preference. We do have a few JABCO buttons already for them. Lots of DMC shades (I have to laugh... true to an artists nature, the software dating at the top of the printed chart reads 12:57:40AM!), fun colors and such a NEAT design theme... you'll never find campers as cheerful as these little guys!

The Halo Lamp from Daylight - click to see more The Halo Lamp - folded - from Daylight - click to see more The Halo Lamp from Daylight Company
This is an awesome little lamp! Fairly new to the Daylight Company's Line, we have them in stock and really like the features. It's a little table lamp -- weighing LESS THAN 1-1/2 pounds. It folds FLAT -- 1-1/2 inches thick by 13 inches long. It fits in your TOTE BAG! (or between your clothes in your suitcase)

It unfolds into a really nice sized (!) table lamp -- the 12-inch arm tilts, the lens and bulb top tilts AND rotates, and there is a protective cover over the lens. It has three daylight-balanced LED light levels -- meaning it dims -- with the touch of your finger. 6-inch low-profile base, that lens is 3-1/2 inches in diameter with a 5 diopter magnification (most of the lamps on the market are only 3.) You do need electricity to use it... no rechargeable battery system inside. It's clean, it's white, it looks nice, it's SO portable, we are very impressed! Comes in a little box -- 6 x 15 x 2 -- we can Priority Mail this baby for the 2-pound rate!!!
