Fun New Wooden Pieces for Name Tags and Needlework Finishing We have great new things in the shop... it isn't all pictured here because everything comes in different wood colors and colored finishes. Here are some highlights! Perforated Name Tags - These are great! "Stitching with friends... priceless!" A 3 x 4 frame - magnetic - pull it apart to access the little piece of perforated material in the middle (yes, you can sub fabric if you'd rather, but they come with 14 or 18 perf.) Stitch your name or message, simply cling the two frames back together, and you done! You can even re-use these and stitch different name tags for every event you go to! Top is cut to hold the lanyard with clip for your tag. All of ours are in light wood, we have some with 14ct brown perf and some with 18 white perf... the frames, however, are the same. Really a cool idea. Little Flat Finish Tack Boards - These are fun little 2-1/2 square boards with a hang hole, and little metal peg, so you can hang something tiny on the peg, then hang board somewhere, too! They have a colorful design printed on the wood somehow - just for a little extra color - asst patterns. I put a Flamingo Toes needle minder on one - and stuck it on our refrigerator - too cute! Round and Square Finishing Frames - Basically 3-1/2 inch pieces with a framed opening of 2 inches for needlework mounting. Coming in three different shapes and 4 different woods - we just have mish-mosh of them all. You mount your needlework on the small piece of cardboard inside the middle... then, STICK it right into the area. Because there is that raised 'edge' around it, any bulk from gathered fabric is hidden... and you don't need to sew any trim on! It's a complete no-sew finish! Use these for Jeannette Douglas Dots, bits of the Quaker motifs from the With Thy Needle designs, anything teeny-weeny you overlook because you don't know what to do with it!
Stitchers are always looking for fun and different trinkets and treasures to commemorate a shopping trip to Silver Needle, or some cool small gifts to take home and give to stitching friends. Check out all this fun stuff that's now BACK IN STOCK! Miniature Clip Boards for Stitchers - The Spool boards measure only 5-1/2 x 7, and feature cute stitch-y decorations. Little Clip at the top - use it to hold a small finished piece of needlework! (Like a finished Mill Hill bead kit or smaller pin cushion design that is stitched, but not assembled.) There is a wooden 'stick' on the back so your board can even stand up as a display piece. The larger boards are 6 x 9. Varied woods for everything, decorative etchings on the fronts, SN's name and the stands are on the backs. Etchings are varied designs on the fronts... but our favorite is the 'To Stitch is Bliss' with all the tiny stitching motifs in the artwork. The little spool boards are $18.00, the larger run $26. Stitcher Night Lights! The are the cutest! What a fun thing to whip out at your next late night stitching event... or something to make you smile when you tip-toe to your bathroom in the middle of the night. (Stitchers always have stitching on their minds) Regular little bulb, on/off switch, the little hoop part measures about 3 inches in diameter. There is a cute colorful design full of stitching stuff, and the wooden heart area covers the center of the bulb, so there is no bright glare of a bare bulb. Each as a verse about stitching, this one reads 'Eat, Stitch, Sleep, Repeat.' They run $21.00. Beautiful Things Tray Something to keep your space organized, these little trays measure just 10 inches across, 5 inches high and are 1/2 an inch thick. They feature a lovely verse: 'Beautiful Things Come Together One Stitch at a time.' Slightly raised edges, so nothing can spill out of your area; I put a pair of 3-1/2 inch scissors there for scale. (They are sold separately from the tray.) Perfect for travel-stitchng, and holding a few threaders, trinkets and candy! Super fun and functional - $34.00.
