Well... for some of you... this took place months ago, and you're still buried in it! In Oklahoma, where we are, snow is a once-a-season treat... hard for a Wisconsin girl to give up!

Bent Creek celebrates the snows of the season with a little snowman taking a sled-ride down a steep, snowy hill! (kind of like a little luge track!!!) Something fun to finish into a banner-style wall hanging, it'd be cute to begin hanging right after Halloween -- in anticipation of that first snow!

OK... here's the next new set of Snapper designs! This one's pretty cool, different from the rest, and is scheduled to run this June till the end of 2008. A 5-part set of designs... part one is already HERE! It's a trifold leaflet thingy, that features a charted and embellished border (brown buttons and black snaps) that will surround a scattering of tiny motifs and letters of the alphabet! A, B, J and R are featured in this first piece -- you can see them in the pic above.

Due are 4 more CHARTS... (with a few snap embellishments) -- 1 chart each month -- for the next 6 months. (The first one is the main border; rest of charts don't cost as much... we expect $6.50.) Mike stressed to me that the entire piece IS designed... so they *think* they really can adhere to this 'rigorous' release schedule!!! The piece is stitched on the awesome 30ct Straw hand-dyed linen by Weeks Dye Works, and uses 13 different Weeks, Gentle Art and Crescent Colours overdyed flosses. The border embellishment pack COMES with the first design, and each chart has a few more snaps included inside... so we are pretty excited about this one!!!

Finished size is a huge 29 x 7-1/2... so you'll see this baby on the wall! If your 'couch potatoes' are gentle... this would look lovely as a bolster pillow, too. Auto starts NOW! (If you aren't a linen stitcher... 14ct aida will work well for this, too, and actually, 10ct Tula would make this 11 x 43!!!)

'The patter of little feet, a voice so soft and sweet, Sweet Child of Mine' is the verse on this cute birth record! Bent Creek has a new *row* pattern that can actually be worked in any colors you wish, and personalized with that Sweet Child's name and birth date. Offered as a leaflet, the finished piece measures approx 3-1/6 x 16 on 32ct.

Normally, the Row Series is garnished with lots of fun clay buttons from Just Another Button Company... but this one doesn't have any...yet! If we're talking about a girl... we have precious hearts, flowers and 'girly stuff' that would be cute... and if you want something with dogs and worms on it... we have that too! I think this is a PERFECT row to get creative with your featured baby's future traits! Remember that fabrics can change too, so think about room colors. Real Cute!

Bent Creek presents a nifty 'Row' through the year of seasons! Offered as a leaflet -- just like all the rest of the 'row patterns' -- this one finishes approx 2-1/2 x 23 on 32ct Natural Linen, and is stitched in a combination of Weeks and Gentle Art overdyeds. I especially like all the details in this one! Snowflakes begin the year -- flowers appear in the Spring -- waves surround the lighthouse -- and falling leaves blow Autumn off the right-hand edge!

I like the boxes around the motifs, I like all the color, I like all the activity... I think this is one of my favorites! Bent Creek also calls for clay buttons on here... a little redbird in the winter, a couple of stars and hearts for the spring and summer and delicate little falling leaves for the fall. It's a 'gotta-stitch!'

Bent Creek is introducing three new releases, all patriotic in theme, but offered in three different formats that we're already familiar with. Land That I Love is a leaflet with three small designs and the trio of little houses that finishes approx 5 x 8 on 28ct.

Just a bit late for Mother's Day this year... it's OK... because you need no special holiday to tell Mom that you love her! Bent Creek's newest leaflet, this is stitched on 32ct Summer Khaki Linen in Weeks and Gentle Art's overdyeds of Cocoa, Whitewash, Harvest Basket, Antique Rose and Dried Thyme.

Finishing approx 5-1/2 x 5-1/2, it features three tiny coffee-dyed heart buttons as embellishments. Soft, antiqued creams, green and rose... whatever name is special for your mother... this tells her you love her with a splash of elegance and soft color. 'Autumn is a second Spring, when every leaf is a flower.' Bent Creek's final celebration of the Four Seasons -- in Snapper Card Designs! Presented in 4 small individual designs, Harvest Time is the first, with the barnyard and scarecrow outside. Autumn Walk is the second... the trees wander and follow the hikers a bit. Pumpkin Hunt and Turkey Farm finished it up!!!

Each square design is a small 'Snapper' card, that includes a snap as its embellishment. Tying all these small squares together is the complimentary border chart and embellishment package... just like we have been treated to for Winter, Spring and Summer Snapperlands!!!
A really cool series... we just finished an auto-ship for the rest of the cards in this set.

You'll recall Snapperville... the set of 6 houses and businesses... a little town. Then, we were treated to Spring, Summer and Winter Snapperlands -- each of these containing 4 card designs, the border chart and embellishment packs. Quite a collection... each of the seasons or little town are charming, and definitely customer favorites!!!

Bent Creek's newest Christmas Stocking designs... these two bring the set to 6 in all! (Just scroll down this page to see the rest of them... they're all still available!) Jane (Christmas Carols) features a family of caroling snow people beneath the lamp post. Zachary's stocking (Christmas Eve) features Rudolph, himself, pulling Santa's sleigh!!!

The last in the Summer Snapperland set is finally here! Sorry we don't have a nicer image of the entire thing, but we'll get one up as soon as we finish our own model. The first design is darling... it's a tiny beach house, complete with a whale weathervane and little red crab on the sandy beach!

Offered as the small individual card, there are snap embellishments included for the each design. As with Spring and Winter Snapperland, Bent Creek has designed a really neat border chart, so that you can stitch all four designs in this mini-set as one bigger design. That border design reads, 'Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows fall behind you.' Along with the sunshine and shells, there are seahorses in the border design as well, and the special embellishment package contains more snaps, clay sand dollars and a sea scallop. Here's a fun little chubby guy that finishes really dinky! (Hence, the 'littles' in the title!) Offered as a small card, if you stitch this guy over one thread on 28ct... he's LESS than an inch in size! (You could make a teeny scissor fob.) Over two on 28, he measures 1-1/2 inches square.

***By the way, Nan's new Whimzi frames are perfect for this size design... those openings are 2-inches... and a really quick finishing option to last minute ornaments. The card comes with the small brass star embellishment, and the design uses just bits of overdyeds from your stash. Cute!

The Chalet is first in Bent Creek's set of 2006 Snappers entitled 'Walking in a Winter Snapperland'... we at the Silver Needle are affectionately (and thus shortening the name) calling this new set "Chillville!" A new set of 4 small card Snapper patterns, The Chalet is the first of the designs. Charming and cozy stitched just by itself... Chalet is the first panel of the main design that's tied together with a freebie border chart supplied to us by Bent Creek. The border is similar to Snapperville, and says 'One kind word can warm the three winter months...'

The embellishment pack contains the extra snaps, snowflake buttons and a white winter bird. Stitched individually, each card's design will measure approx 3 x 3. Stitched with the surrounding border, the entire piece will measure approx 5 x 17.

The Winter Chillville fabric cut is actually a 1/6 yd piece of linen measuring 12 x 27, slightly larger than 3 inches of allowance of each side... but economical to cut!

A tiny design offered in card format... this little guy finishes a mighty 1-1/2 inches square! The teeny-weeny frame pictured is available for him as well... so hang him by his companions... Black Kitty and Bunny!

This is the cutest one of these! Check out those little doodle-ladybugs on there! Finishing a whopping 2 x 19... this whole set has been fun, because it's perfect to hang on that skinny wall everybody has between two door frames! The other three Soapboxes are pictured on the back cover, so when you get this, check your stash, and make sure you have the other three! Trick or Treat... Smell my Feet! Quite the welcoming greeting around Halloween Time! This is just the cutest, stitched in an array of Weeks overdyed flosses. This time around, the words are stitched in three different colors -- Bark, Swamp Water, and Onyx, so there's actually quite a bit of color in here!

Oh, this is a charming 'Row' pattern by Bent Creek that arrived in our Davenport Stitching Festival boxes! We didn't know it was coming, so it was a great surprise!

Offered as a leaflet, and stitched on 32ct Vintage linen, it finishes approx 2 x 17, and features shaded letters and 'fans' on the ends that remind me of those 4th of July banner decorations! Overdyed colors used include Lancaster Red, Harvest Basket, Deep Sea, Rum Raison and Whitewash... all rich, denim-y and faded 'olde glory' kind of colors! Cute!

Check out the clay package for this! Isn't the little Uncle Sam just the cutest?? Actually, he's a very miniature version of Frank from Mosey 'n Me!!! So much detail, he just 'makes' the clay pack!

Gosh, this is cute!!! The newest 'Row' pattern by BC... you might want to stitch this for a special teacher, but then again, you might have to stitch multiples!!! Worked on 32ct Summer Khaki in yummy overdyeds, there are lots of fun school-stuff things on here. Check out the "i before e" rule in there!!! The colors in this are soft and well-worn, like a 'well-loved!' textbook, the motifs are cute, and the whole thing is perfect for your favorite teacher!

These are two of seven new releases by Bent Creek! Snowman Stocking joins Holiday Home as Bent Creek's first two stocking patterns. Autumn Soapbox
What a cute collection of checkerboarded boxes, all stacked up, and filled with motifs of the season!!! Available as a leaflet, the overdyeds are great Fall colors, and although the pattern doesn't call for any embellishments... you could always get carried away and add some!!! Stitched on 32ct Dirty Belfast Linen, it measures approx 2 x 20 when it's finished!!!

Isn't this a delightful sampling of summer motifs? OK... a fun, primitive/contemporary look at Spring! Lots of color, that bunny-on-the-egg stack is fun... and so is the one row of space between the motifs. I think it adds a touch of *now* to the design! Marcia and Elizabeth from BC talk about how they're just simple gals... so you need to take note of the little butterfly in this... they don't *do* that! We tease them all the time about that lack of 'stuff' on their designs... Abecedarious (their local needlework shop in Atlanta) always saves them!!! Another very long and thin alphabet by Bent Creek, Spooky Row is full of the cutest Halloween motifs! The cauldron at one end... and my absolute favorite -- that little buzzard/vulture guy down at the other -- this is stitched in black, browns, oranges and creme overdyeds.

Baby Row 'The patter of little feet, a voice so soft and sweet, Sweet Child of Mine' is the verse on this cute birth record! Bent Creek has a new row pattern that can actually be worked in any colors you wish, and personalized with that Sweet Child's name and birth date. Offered as a leaflet, the finished piece measures approx 3-1/6 x 16 on 32ct. Normally, the Row Series is garnished with lots of fun clay buttons from Just Another Button Company... but this one doesn't have any...yet! If we're talking about a girl... we have precious hearts, flowers and 'girly stuff' that would be cute... and if you want something with dogs and worms on it... we have that too! Seasons of Change Row Bent Creek presents a nifty 'Row' through the year of seasons! Offered as a leaflet -- just like all the rest of the 'row patterns' -- this one finishes approx 2-1/2 x 23 on 32ct Natural Linen, and is stitched in a combination of Weeks and Gentle Art overdyeds. I especially like all the details in this one! Snowflakes begin the year -- flowers appear in the Spring -- waves surround the lighthouse -- and falling leaves blow Autumn off the right-hand edge! I like the boxes around the motifs, I like all the color, I like all the activity... I think this is one of my favorites! Bent Creek also calls for clay buttons on here... a little redbird in the winter, a couple of stars and hearts for the spring and summer and delicate little falling leaves for the fall. It's a 'gotta-stitch!'
A Magnificent Patriotic Trio Land that I Love, Uncle Sam and Hero Row Bent Creek is introducing three new releases, all patriotic in theme, but offered in three different formats that we're already familiar with. Land That I Love is a leaflet with three small designs and the trio of little houses that finishes approx 5 x 8 on 28ct. Next is the Uncle Sam Littles Card. Easter Tree -- Clip Art A different little thing... stitch an overdyed Easter Tree on perforated paper, decorate it a little, and clip it to a board... and you're done! Offered as the pattern with 5 x 7 sheet of 14ct brown perforated paper, and two metal badge-pins... you stitch the design using overdyeds from your stash, pin on the pins... and find a clipboard in a drawer, and finally put it to good use! The Littles Leprechaun A tiny design offered in small card format... this little guy finishes approx1-1/2 inches square on 32ct linen. Teeny-weeny, he's perfect for a scissor fob. BC showed a model at Market of 5 of these 'Littles' all stitched together in a row... it was that 1-1/2 an inch high x 7 inches long. Perfect as a dinky cube-shaped stand-up... the collection was precious!
Autumn Snapperland! *'Autumn is a second Spring, when every leaf is a flower.'* Bent Creek's final celebration of the Four Seasons -- in Snapper Card Designs! Presented in 4 small individual designs, Harvest Time is the first, with the barnyard and scarecrow outside. Autumn Walk is the second... the trees wander and follow the hikers a bit. Pumpkin Hunt and Turkey Farm finished it up!!! Each square design is a small 'Snapper' card, that includes a snap as its embellishment. Summer Snapperland The last in the Summer Snapperland set is finally here! Sorry we don't have a nicer image of the entire thing, but we'll get one up as soon as we finish our own model. The first design is darling... it's a tiny beach house, complete with a whale weathervane and little red crab on the sandy beach! Offered as the small individual card, there are snap embellishments included for the each design. As with Spring and Winter Snapperland, Bent Creek has designed a really neat border chart, so that you can stitch all four designs in this mini-set as one bigger design. That border design reads, 'Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows fall behind you.' Wedding Row 'Of my love be sure' is the perfect verse for this wedding remembrance! Santa -- The Littles Here's a fun little chubby guy that finishes really dinky! (Hence, the 'littles' in the title!) Over two on 28, he measures 1-1/2 inches square. ***By the way, Nan's new Whimzi frames are perfect for this size design... those openings are 2-inches... and a really quick finishing option to last minute ornaments. Walking in a Winter Snapperland or... as we call it: "Chillville!" The Chalet is first in Bent Creek's set of 2006 Snappers entitled 'Walking in a Winter Snapperland'... we at the Silver Needle are affectionately (and thus shortening the name) calling this new set "Chillville!" A new set of 4 small card Snapper patterns, The Chalet is the first of the designs. Charming and cozy stitched just by itself... Chalet is the first panel of the main design that's tied together with a freebie border chart supplied to us by Bent Creek. The border is similar to Snapperville, and says 'One kind word can warm the three winter months...' The embellishment pack contains the extra snaps, snowflake buttons and a white winter bird. Stitched individually, each card's design will measure approx 3 x 3. Stitched with the surrounding border, the entire piece will measure approx 5 x 17. The Winter Chillville fabric cut is actually a 1/6 yd piece of linen measuring 12 x 27, slightly larger than 3 inches of allowance of each side... but economical to cut!
Let Us Be Thankful Row We like this one! Another in the Row series, you could stitch this, and finish it into a super-long little box-shape and use it to dress your dinner table! Stitched on 32ct Vintage, it measures approx 2 x 17. Offered as a leaflet, it's worked in overdyeds, and is an 'easy stitch' because there aren't too many color changes. Stars and Stripes Forever Oh, this is a charming 'Row' pattern by Bent Creek that arrived in our Davenport Stitching Festival boxes! We didn't know it was coming, so it was a great surprise! Offered as a leaflet, and stitched on 32ct Vintage linen, it finishes approx 2 x 17, and features shaded letters and 'fans' on the ends that remind me of those 4th of July banner decorations! The Snapperville Series Wow... this is the cutest new set of six designs... each is part of a village affectionately named Snapperville!!! Offered over the next 4 months, Bent Creek is releasing 6 small cards... each cute by itself... but even cuter stitched together with its mates. Each card features a set of snap embellishments and measures approx 3 x 3 on 32ct Natural Linen. There is a master chart -- a FREEBIE with Snapperville card purchases -- it has a swirly border, some skinny pine trees, and this verse: Teach us that we may feel the importance of every day of every hour as it passes. Teacher Row Gosh, this is cute!!! The newest 'Row' pattern by BC... you might want to stitch this for a special teacher, but then again, you might have to stitch multiples!!! Signs of Spring OK... a fun, primitive/contemporary look at Spring! Lots of color, that bunny-on-the-egg stack is fun... and so is the one row of space between the motifs. I think it adds a touch of now to the design! Marcia and Elizabeth from BC talk about how they're just simple gals... so you need to take note of the little butterfly in this... they don't do that! Announcing SNAPPERS! A delightful set of charts... small card charts that feature small snaps inside that embellish your cross stitch, just like a button would! The 2003 set celebrates the months.! The Silver Needle's auto-ship will begin the day we receive the first... Happy Holidays! The little Snapper cards will include their snap embellishments... just like the first set on 2003! Very creative... the 2004 border chart arrived as well, so our auto-stitchers will receive them in their first 2004 shipments! Christmas Row I love this! Stitch the alphabet, laced with Christmassy greenery, popcorn and even a fat little elf! The sixth in this set of designs, these have remained stitcher's favorites! Spooky Row Another very long and thin alphabet by Bent Creek, Spooky Row is full of the cutest Halloween motifs! The cauldron at one end... and my absolute favorite -- that little buzzard/vulture guy down at the other -- this is stitched in black, browns, oranges and creme overdyeds. Spooky Row by Bent Creek now has a package of embellishments! A darling set, it includes quite a few new clay pieces from Just Another Button Company. Notice the cute Jack-o-Lantern guy, and those new "Wild" pumpkins! Patriotic Row The next in Bent Creek's seasonal set of alphabets, this one has some little houses and a cute barn flying the flag! Autumn Row This is Bent Creek's design... only decorated with a delightful set of clay buttons! Again we credit the artistic talents of the shop Abecedarious (pronounced: a b c darious!). Such a fun selection of pumpkins, acorns leaves and blackbirds... you'll need this! Really cool!
Angels Well, I don't have words to describe this one. About 4 1/2 by 7," stitched on 32ct linen, it comes with 9 alternate angel faces so you can customize the design, or stitch the angel faces separately as ornaments.
The Holly Berry Sampler A small card design, this is a companion to Bent Creek's Plum Berry Sampler. Just a simple thing... it features tiny square Poindexter Buttons from Just Another Button Company as its berries, and is stitched in overdyed flosses. Finishing approx 2 1/2 x 6" on 32ct... it's charming!
Pop! A fun little card sized pattern, featuring fireworks and stars floating between willowy red ribbons. A cute "quicky," it's perfect the way it is, but it'll be great to load up with fun embellishments, as well! Pretty overdyed flosses -- both Weeks and Gentle Art are used -- it finishes only 2 x 5" on 32ct!
Long Winter This is a winter scene of a skinny red house tucked into a swirly snow scene. Everything is stitched with overdyed flosses... and check out the cute little snowman and ice-skater! I think some snowflake charms would be awesome in that top band, too! (I'm betting this is going to be a set -- so watch for the other seasons to come!)
